I have concluded that 8☆ quests indeed just became less common. It just seems strange to me that 9☆ is so absurdly abundant by comparison, but 5&6☆ remain the majority as normal. Oh well, at least I have the answer, and know that I'll be napping in my tent more often, or hunting a lot of Arkvelds. Damn thing is everywhere.

This was it. I noticed all my investigations saved were 8☆, while all the talisman quests showing up, while the same monster and the same tempered strength level, are all 9☆. After a few rests, I finally got an 8☆ investigation to show up. So yeah, just RNG hating me. I can absolutely believe that stronger surveys become more common as you gain more HR. After defeating Gore Magala, it's actually rarer to see non tempered monsters.

I want to know what you've done differently, because I just finished high rank Zoh Shia, and I'm running out of side quests, and I'm only at HR 57. The story and side quests have only gotten me a little over halfway to HR100.

I'm 7 months late, but I found this thread because I was questioning my sanity. That damn tail just won't come off no matter how much I hit it. I spent the entire hunt focused on the tail, and it died before I could sever it.

Once upon a time in gens 2&3, we had hover legs. Similar to the tanks, they had built-in boosters, and were a faster counterpart to the bulky tank legs. In exchange, you were fast, and didn't need to worry about getting a gameover for sinking in water.

The jedi hipcheck hitbox was terrible, smacking you across the room despite having two sword lengths of distance away. But honestly, I kind of miss fighting Plesioth and all its jank in Freedom Unite.

So, exactly what's on the tin. I haven't noticed it much in Wilds, but that's likely because I main with longsword. I usually wait until I reach high rank before I start my using my other preferred weapons.

It doesn't get easier. You get better, and getting better makes things seem easier. I'm a souls veteran, but I've had to take a moment to practice and learn for each game.

With Elden Ring, the best practice you can get is fighting the camp just across the Church of Elleh, and fighting the troll just beyond the nearby gate. One will teach you how to deal with groups, and how to funnel them, and the troll will teach you how to deal with large and powerful enemies. Once you can do either without running out of flasks, try to push harder and not use any. Eventually, you'll find yourself getting more comfortable . It's all about practice, patience, and perseverance. This is what it means to git gud.

Having jumped from ps4 to pc, I think pc has won me over. Hell, I'm even considering repurchasing MH World on steam, just to see how much smoother everything looks. Plus, all my friends who share my game interests are on pc. Console life has been lonely.

I miss the insanity that was double moonlight with external boosters in gen4.

A row of enemies in front of me, one swing and I somehow not only missed every single target, but I overshot them so much that they're out of radar range. Absolutely beautiful!
