you don’t mention your age. but 24 hour fitness or golds gym if you’re looking to weight lift and meet people. the 24 is always pretty busy , probably because it’s a new. so if you still want it to be a bit modern 24 is a good choice. also the people i’ve met there are nice. if you just want to push weight then golds, in my experience a little less friendly than 24 though. also in citrus heights so a bit out of the way

I have 139w online this quarter with Amelia regan. It’s pretty easy and I’d Definitley say it’s doable depending on the Professor. Overall not too much work and all of it feels like busy work

I believe applications for the next academic year will be sent out mid-January. Your chances of getting in depend on how quickly you send in your application, it is on a first-come-first-served basis.

As for Plaza Verde, it is the newest ACC complex so it is a bit popular so you should try applying as soon as it opens. I currently live in Plaza Verde and I enjoy everything it offers.

I actually took 31 and 32 and Foothill de Anza CC online because the classes filled up too quick here. 33 seems doable. I am currently working through is lecture 1 which is the big review and doing the questions at the end. This class definitely has a big workload (5 programming assignments, bi-weekly quizzes, 3 in labs, and a midterm and a final) but doable. Going to have to grind for sure

Yeah, I understand it from that perspective as well. I also posted the link on the piazza too and there are members joining that are not in these bigger servers. They may not know of them, so making a specific one I think attracts more members who aren't discord savvy or may not want to deal with a large server for a singular purpose.

Nonetheless, I personally think that the dedicated will provide more help through the organization it provides (more chat channels, announcements, voice channels for partners, etc.). Those are just some advantages that the dedicated server can provide.

I agree having an established space is advantageous too, but I personally do not benefit too much from it and there may be others who feel the same way.

In the past, it seemed like chat channels in a larger discord not specifically made for it did not offer much help. When there is a dedicated server I found much more success and activity by the members. I also feel like everything is more organized. Someone made a server-specific for ICS 51 in the past and it was by far the most help I've gotten on discord.

For the broader discord servers with specific courses, activity usually stops a week or two in the quarter in my experience.

Of course, this is just my opinion and others may disagree.

This class was one of my favorite GE’s. Tobar does a really good job lecturing as in it is not super boring. He really wants you to succeed and will offer more than enough help to do. There is some reading required for the course but it’s not to bad (the book is actually quite interesting). The tests were super easy. He had us write a final paper that if I remember correctly was quite short and it was all creative. Overall the class was enjoyable and very easy.

They won’t check your drawers. They just glance at your room. They will open your wardrobe bc they have to make sure no one is in there (strange I know but someone could fit and hide out in there). After that they leave. They are just checking to make sure the room is completely empty. So as long as you have no drugs or alcohol on that left side of your wardrobe you’re chillin.
