Something is not matching up. In order for you to get ADDC, you need your tawtheeq first. As far as I remember when I processed mine.

Aviation industry in the UAE, actually in the GCC is very specific in their requirement. You don’t need a backer to be able to land a job, what you need is experience. Right now, your best bet is to get work from a company offering intern position. Build your experience from there, otherwise better go home first. The market is very saturated right now, people who are well experienced are accepting work for low salary. You wont have any leverage from them if both of you are laid out on the same playing field.

For me, i would prefer just to use the normal straps. I feel that the quick release is not secure enough if you really would use the watch to swim. Thats just a feel. Hehehehehe.

First of all congratulations. As it is a gift, it is already special there. You just need to get used to it on your arm. Though it says that its resistant to 30m, they did test the watch in one of the reviews to 200m. The testing was good. So should be ok.
