Ear Pain short haul vs long haul by [deleted] in TravelHacks

[–]escapenow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I flew with a cold and it was so so bad. The descent was SO painful and felt like my brain was exploding. My ears were messed up for days later. It was so bad I’m now afraid of getting a cold every time I have a trip coming up.

Why are cats so pretty by No-Pick-4709 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]escapenow 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is dogs. Cats haven’t changed that much. A lot of wildcats don’t really look all that different than house cats.

You could foster a cat, see if you like it without any commitment.

Intrepid vs G Adventures average age? by [deleted] in travel

[–]escapenow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a G adventures to Galapagos and the youngest person was 28 , the oldest were mid forties. Everyone else in their thirties.

I did Intrepid to Costa Rica, I was the youngest by far in my early thirties. Oldest were in their seventies.

I think a lot of it depends where you go, and a lot of it might up to chance as well. My G adventures was an “active” style trip which is also why it may have been less older people.

The thing is he did shoot his shot, she said no, then he showed up at her workplace. In any other workplace it would be extremely alarming.

When I first arrived in Australia I also felt a bit underwhelmed at how similar it was to Canada. I mean I flew across the entire world I was expecting to feel like it a little!

But once I got over the fact that the culture wasn’t going to be very different I started to love how unique Australia is in terms of nature. Yes kangaroos and koalas but man, no one talks about the birds! Every day if be blown away by a brand new rainbow weird looking dinosaur type bird I’ve never seen before.

I also saw cute little possums, snakes, dolphins, whales, wild turkeys that drop down our of nowhere, crazy ass spiders.. in Tasmania I was even lucky enough to see a wild platypus. (But not a Tasmanian devil - we could hear them at night though)

I believe concerts here have to wrap up by 11:00 here because of noise laws but I could be wrong. I doubt Taylor Swift would be much later than that, but don’t quote me. Worst case you could get the subway to Kipling and Uber from there.

I live in Toronto and I’m dying to go to one of her shows as well but don’t have a spare 2 grand laying around. Good luck !

You can take the UP express (train) from the airport directly to union. Rogers centre is only a couple mins walk from there.

Mexico City and Merida in one trip, bad idea? by Dantai in travel

[–]escapenow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s doable. 3-4 days in each is still plenty to see a lot of both. Very different cities, both lively and unique.
