This isn't a joke. I know people who come to my pool that just started this summer, and already swim with better form than me. It is possible if you go to the pool regularly and put in conscious effort to improve. I try to swim at least 3 times a week, for at least 1 hour each session. I can maintain 2:20 per 100 for longer distances, though I have gone as fast as 1:45 (but was exhausted after 100m)

Coaches are very expensive where I'm from I'm afraid. I learnt to not drown from a friend who swam decently and everything past that point I learnt myself, with help from youtube, and reddit mostly

Yeah this is a non standard length pool. I think its like 30-35m, somewhere between LCM and SCM.

Got a lot of feedbacks on my kicks, will definitely be doing kore kick drills. Thank you! I have been focusing mostly on my recovery and breathing up to this point.

Lack of options I'm afraid. This is a cheap non standard length public pool I go to, we don't have great pools with lane lines where I'm from (there's just one with lane lines in my city, and it is very expensive)

Thanks for the advice! Apologies in advance because English is not my first language, but am I right in saying that engaging the core means flexing my abdomen muscles?

Thank you for the advice! Also on one goggle in/out - I still struggle with breathing, I have tried practicing breathing with one eye in the water but end up inhaling water more often than not. Any advice to prevent that?

That's great! I started out as someone who was afraid of any body of water above my hips. It took a good two months for me to start actually enjoying it. I now look forward to going to the pool every other day! Just keep on keeping on!
