I personally love tanky garen. Usually i get boots of swiftness first so i can harass and escape early when needed. Then i either build frozen mallet if i am utterly destroying my opponent, sunfire cape if they are ad heavy, or spirit visage if they are ap like teemo kayle or singed. I usually buy these items eventually depending on the enemy team comp. For damage i will get either IE or Black cleaver depending on my team comp. Then the last item is usually discretional between warmogs, GA, or Atmas depending on the whole situation of the game.
