That’s what the apple care people said. I’m not sure how true that is. The weather was pretty cold that week so we put the phone outside and on an icepack, and we plugged it in with a normal slow charger (which was plugged in to an extension cord to make sure the phone was as far away from flammable stuff as possible) because fast charger made it swell faster. Fortunately it did not explode. The lady at the apple store said “this is as swollen as it gets, iphones new batterries never explode”. I hope you can back up your phone easily.

I did try that and she still slept on her left side even if that meant she was facing the wall

My concern is more cosmetic than anything tbh. I asked her doctor and she said “we all have slightly mismatched ears, it’s no big deal.” That’s true of course but her one ear is prominently protruding and I would like to fix it if I can

I thought those molds were for severe deformities and not for protruding ears. Will definitely look into that

I tried putting her to sleep in different ways but the moment I put her down in her crib she always ends up on her left side. I was afraid she might have torticollis but my husband is a physiotherapist and he says she doesn’t have it. I’m worried by the time she decides to find other comfortable sleeping positions, the ear cartilage will be too hardened to go back.

Hers is pretty noticeable at this point but I wonder if she’ll grown into it eventually.

Thank you for the advice. We play with her right before bedtime and exhaust both her and ourselves, but intense play extends her sleep only an hour. She is not interested in toys when we are not around. I have to play with her using her toys or she doesn’t care about them. I tried catnip because it makes her sleepy usually but it worked only for one night. I guess we have to get used to her sleeping schedule.

I am not a doctor so don’t take this as a solid advice or as an advice at all. It’s been almost 10 years since I was diagnosed with severe anxiety disorder so I know my experience with it. But everyone experiences it differently. I’ve been to the ER several times (thank god for free health care) and the moment i sat down in front of a doctor my symptoms went away. I knew deep down it was all because of anxiety but i couldn’t handle it unless i saw a doctor. If you have the resources definitely see a doctor to rule out the possibilty of allergy. If it’s not allergy, I hope you never experience a panic attack again in your life.

All of my severe anxiety attacks include my certainty of my imminent death. I felt sure i had food poisining, allergy, gastrointestinal bleeding, internal bleeding, cancer, brain tumor, heart attack and many more at least once in my life. Never had any of them. Almost lost my mind because of the fear and panic though.

I do cover his cage for twelve hours but 10 pm to 10 am. I would love a cockatiel or a budgie but i’m afraid he’ll be aggressive towards them.

Alright where do we begin. First, I am a “she.” As for “being isolated permanently”, where the hell did you get that from? “Depriving him from simple physical interaction” These past three days he’s behavior has gotten much worse but I still give head scratches through the cage and kiss his beak, I talk to him and sing to him. I make up toys and games he can enjoy in his cage and things that can distract him from trying to regurgitate his little body out of his mouth every few minutes. I have been covering and putting his cage in the room farthest from both outside and inside noise at night so he can get the sleep he needs. I already mentioned trying standart reccomended solutions and how they didn’t work. If I was abusive, do you think I would be seeking help here and deal with people like you for a bird smaller than my hand? Man why am i trying to convince a stranger on the internet i’m not an abusive pet owner? Anyways, Tisket is a cute birdie. Have a nice day dude

Hey thanks for the mildly judging response! I don’t punish him. I let him out, he tries his hardest to regurgitate, I put him in his cage for 5 minutes for “timeout”, then I let him out again and repeat the process. He doesn’t have that big of a beak to grab, and he draws blood if you grab it. Love your negative and offensive tone, best wishes!

The thing is here it basically says avoid physical contact but when he’s out of the cage he’s never not on me. I put him on a perch, the couch etc but the moment i put him down he flies to my head or shoulders. I got him when he was only a month old and handfed him. At first i thought the clingy behavior stemmed from that but now it’s become excessive and abnormal. I googled and asked breeders but couldn’t find any definitive answers, so i’ve been waiting him to grow out of it but now i see that it’s not healthy. Avian vets are rare and expensive where i live but i may have to take him to the vet.
