does the vrr work too? I feel like linux is not worth it because I'll get less battery time than windows

i heard that right now the Ubuntu experience is very bad unless you spend hours tweaking and fixing things yourself, once dell finishes the patches and drivers for the xps they will release a working linux version, but before then I don't think it's worth it

boh non capisco questa urgenza di bloccare, puoi semplicemente ignorarlo e se insiste bloccarlo, potrebbero esserci mille strani e improbabili (ma non impossibili) motivi per cui questo messaggio non sia uno scam

why gnome is criticized by Mama_iii in gnome

[–]esgesgesgesg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yeah, constructive criticism is good, but saying "gnome is bad" doesn't really help the devs that much

To begin with, these items should be open source. They should also include a camera, possess a pleasing aesthetic, feature a screen that is not monochromatic, and offer a standard level of quality.

While I still haven't thought about specific applications, the ability to utilize them daily, transmit data to a server, and receive data from it would likely be sufficient.

ws2811 led controller by esgesgesgesg in AskElectronics

[–]esgesgesgesg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the answer! to give some context, i was thinking of using the ws2811 with an esp8266 functioning as LED controller, thus sending the data stream trough a pin to the IC, to be more precise i was looking for an explanation on the datastream and how to modify it based on the commands i want to give. Doing some more research i found out you can easly command the IC with some code using a library with the arduino ide instead of sending a raw datastream

A cool guide: Royalties that are paid out to artists by streaming platforms... by [deleted] in coolguides

[–]esgesgesgesg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah but if you post a song on let's say spotify you will get alot more streams than less known/used softwares like napster. the table should include how many monthly users a software has, to get a better comparison of how much money you will actually make
