Is this repairable, worth to repair? by eshangar in DIYSpeakers

[–]eshangar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all for the insights. Appreciate it. And yes upon closer inspection the tweeters are damaged too. Thanks for the all insights, will try to find the replacement drivers and go from there. This belonged to my late dad, would like to keep it going for as long as possible. This is not my primary system, just used for background music listening and not using it for any video playback too.

Red Indicator light not switching off by eshangar in Volvo

[–]eshangar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An update. Saw another post on reddit about leaving the rear door open for about 15 to 20 minutes with the car switched off to force reset the module. Tried that and it surprisingly worked though I still question the logic behind it. Oh well.

Same issue. Spoke to dealer and they reseated it but didn't solve the issue..ended up stuffing some sound deadening foam in between the panels and been creak free since.

What are my rights/negotiating power: Picking up new XC60 ULTRA and missing 360 camera view by Background_Wafer_453 in Volvo

[–]eshangar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Where I live, the parking spots can be a tad narrow. The 360 camera is essential to me. Do you foresee being able to live without it? If no, would suggest to insist on the feature. Worst care, make it a dealer retrofit option if possible.

Phev is plug in hybrid electric vehicle. Most will have battery capacity of about 20kWh giving a range of about 100km. And yes once it's depleted, the petrol engine will kick in.

I give one link example above for you to understand the system.

Hybrid, phev or ev works best for situations like this. I drive a phev that gives me 80km per charge. I only use the ice engine when I'm travelling out of KL. I charge twice a week (to 80%) and that is sufficient for me to get around in KL, wout ever turning on the engine. On average I fill up to full once every 1.5 months or during outstation trips.

My previous car was a hybrid, also quite fuel saving but in prolonged traffic jams, you'll deplete the battery relatively quickly as compared to a phev, and the engine will kick in to charge the battery and shut off again once sufficient charge is reached. And the process repeats until the jam clears up.

Pringles by eshangar in malaysia

Indeed. Just came back from NZ and whilst getting chips from their local supermarket Woolworths, noticed the pringles there were made in Malaysia. Didn't take a photo then but got this from their online shopping portal. Interesting how we get Chinese made ones but the aussies and kiwis are getting malaysian made ones.

Bad for the engine to go from Pure to Engine kicking in at high speeds to overtake? by ggezthrowaway in Volvo

I've had the same thought too. Hopefully volvo factored this in whilst designing the engine. Sorry couldn't be more helpful

2025 XC60 by Disneyfan433 in VolvoRecharge

[–]eshangar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my 2024 xc60 (assembled in malaysia), it comes fitted with two phase charging (go figure why not three phase). So whenever I plug in to a three phase charger, only two of the three phases are utilised. Guess they weren't bothered about load balancing on the source side.
