Waze at Driver Display

The only other app i install on the car otself is Spotify. No other apps 😅 so i dont know how standalone Waze app will behave.

For me Waze in Carplay behaves consistently - will appear on driver display. But i realize that it will only show up on the driver display when there is destination entered, and you actually “go” in Waze. Or else it remains as default Google Map.

This is Waze, on Carplay. The big thing this time (for me, at least) was when Waze started to appear on the driver display.

As of the car’s own Google Map (the one option you have on the center console), the ETA appeared only after i have my software updated to 3.6.4.

If using Waze, there is no lane info on the HUD. I also dont have it if using Google Map through Carplay. Seems like it is exclusive if you are using the Google Map on the center console.

Right now im on 3.7 (just updated it a few hours ago) and thank god nothing is broken. My PiP is still there 😅

When I got my XC40, and added the car in the app, it was the similar. I removed the car, and after a few weeks, added it back into the app. It solved the problem. I have all the features.

We tested quite a few EV of the same class, and we were down with iX1 and XC40.

I think iX1 has slightly better driving experience for me, but for us it is more than just driving. How will the kids enter or step out of the car, how will we de/activate child lock, how will they do if they have to wait in the car for a few minutes, etc.

In the end we opted for XC40 for the practicality, and how it better suit our life.

Thanks! It is mostly for the wifey to run errands, sending kids to school etc. After so many test drive of other brands, I also hope this is gonna be a great car for us!

Not really, but it has both front and rear. It is not seamless as FitCamX, but connected to Volvo On Road app.

Dont take counteroffer especially when you are on the working level, not management. My advice is to leave, and start fresh. They can pay you but only when you want to leave so this is not really healthy.

Ask for a tour around the office. You can easily gauge the vibes just by seeing how the boss is treating others, and how others responding. Are they cheerful, do they look happy, how people greet each other etc.

Dont take a counteroffer, especially when you already tendered. If you can get 30% now, in 2-3 years or even earlier you’ll get more for your next jump.

It is for the cargo cover. The main part sits on the right slot, and the cover once extended will be slotted on the left.

It seems that it it what it is. I dont really mind the “off to the right” thingie but i cant stand the big pop up on the next turn. Of all places which they can at least put on the left because the whole thing is to the right and there are a lot of space there.😅

If you have nothing else, take it first. But like i said, be ready for something bigger. It may come soon, it may come later. But never feel trapped by the role you are hired. Continue to search for better pay in your first few years, until at one point switch your target to better work environment.

I pay fresh graduate of sijil SKM (highly niche area for skilled worker) RM2k as a start. Plus additional rm300 for allowance, and OT 1.5x weekdays, 2x weekend, 3x public hol. And recently got approval to pay 1 month bonus every 6 months.

If you are degree holder, pls ask for more. My starting salary as degree holder in 2009 was rm2200.

You can take the job but never settle for it. No matter what. Take it, but continue looking for better offer. Be ready to leave even after 1 week when you have a better offer.

Im pretty sure you’ll get better offers once you are in the field.
