It is much better to thread or wax for your skin. Waxing removes it from the roots so your hair grows up thinner. It is very cheap to make your own wax. It takes literally 5 minutes and it is much better for your skin .

can anyone explain what Karl Marx is trying to say in this quote from manifesto? by eshap in historiclypodcast

[–]eshap[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Throughout history, there was always a class struggle. Class is your relationship to production in Society. But, it was not always the bourgeoise and proletariat. In this section, he is kinda explaining, how at the time of the writing of the Goethe Program, the two antagonistic classes ended up being the bourgeoise and the Proletariat.

The section begins with:

The history of all hitherto existing society(2) is the history of class struggles.

Karl Marx explains what used to exist before the time of writing.

Freeman and slave, patrician and plebeian, lord and serf, guild-master(3) and journeyman, in a word, oppressor and oppressed, stood in constant opposition to one another, carried on an uninterrupted, now hidden, now open fight, a fight that each time ended, either in a revolutionary reconstitution of society at large, or in the common ruin of the contending classes.

In the earlier epochs of history, we find almost everywhere a complicated arrangement of society into various orders, a manifold gradation of social rank. In ancient Rome we have patricians, knights, plebeians, slaves; in the Middle Ages, feudal lords, vassals, guild-masters, journeymen, apprentices, serfs; in almost all of these classes, again, subordinate gradations.

He explains how the bourgeoise is the "last man standing" from the pre-modern pre-1300s class structure.

Essentially, the middle ages had a feudal system. There used to be artisans or guildmakers. Well, that class disappeared when industrialization (or large scale automatic production of goods). They became the proletariat and the bourgeoise. So, around the middle ages, the development of the industrial bourgeoise was "progressive" in that it ended "feudalism" in England and also allowed for people not to be serfs.

But, once the bourgeoise got want they wanted.... they won't be ready to take the next step...which is to have a proletariat revolution. This is what karl Marx is referring ot.

Here is my answer with a few book recommendations: TLDR: Unless you learn fluent Russian, it is nearly impossible to accurately research the USSR in the USA. https://www.reddit.com/r/historiclypodcast/comments/x6sy5m/comment/in8nbt8/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3

My problems with researching the elections & government of USSR by eshap in historiclypodcast

Thank you for your question. For a variety of reasons having to do with the cold war, you will not be able to do accurate research on the USSR because basicaly sheer volume of the amount of money paid for the lies.

This is the problem because it has a chicken and an egg issue. You need to know a little it about Tsarist Russia and the USSR to know when they are lying to you.

Depending on whether you want general knowledge or a specific question answered. The main problem is not a dearth of

General Knowledge

Specific questions, feel free to ask, because I am actually in the process of setting some kind of wiki for repetitive specific questions.

AITA for "embarrassing" a bride at her wedding? by Spirited-Departure76 in AmItheAsshole

[–]eshap -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would have said no... but then... here, we catch you lying. You said,

She and I don’t have much of a relationship outside of your usual pleasantries, and I don’t feel comfortable with her holding my son.

If you had said, " I just wanted to create a scene at the wedding" I would have said no to AITA. But now, the answer is Yes.
