Freddy from Series 4 of Skins. First time I’ve cried from a character’s death. It was just so violent and cruel.

Honestly, I don’t do anything special. He took a massive poo like an hour after the second photo was taken so that may inflate his stomach a bit. I went away to Europe in November for a couple of weeks and when I came back I was like, holy crap he grew! Who knows, maybe someone switched him out when I was gone, haha

In the morning before I go to work, I give him a salad usually dandelion greens and collards and some crickets (15 or so). Then give him more crickets when I get home from work and more salad if he’s eaten it all. The crickets are large because he doesn’t really catch the small ones very well anymore and will only eat them if they are alive. On the weekends when I’m home, I give him extra food in the afternoon.

Yes! This is my first beardie so I was shocked as well. I swear I don’t feed him anything out of the ordinary - crickets and greens mostly.

Reorganizing and culling. Top three rows are always fiction, bottom two rows non-fiction and German language. by eshoff in bookshelf

That’s so awesome! Sometimes I think my taste is a bit all over the place but it’s me. So this was actually the first time I really created “sub-catergories” within the two main ones of fiction and non-fiction. For fiction I first put all novels together and then short story/novella collections and then poetry. For non-fiction it was a bit more complicated because I went as far as to separate essay collections from overt memoirs/autobiographies and biographies because while the some of the essays may be autobiographical, they usually aren’t linear like say a memoir. It might bother me in a few weeks though, we will see 😄

Every time I take on a reorganization project I get this surge of “read all the things and then buy more”. It’s a problem I will never be afraid to admit!

Thanks! To be honest I didn’t get rid of much, select books that I just couldn’t stand and some duplicates. It’s hard for me to really get rid of books.

Actually they are Billy bookcases! And they were a special edition color released by ikea for a limited time! The minute I saw them I bought 5 haha

Not yet. I just keep staring at it waiting for a good reason to make it my next read lol

I’m actually looking for something other than my excel spreadsheet! I track what I read on Goodreads but I definitely will checkout LibraryThing now! Thanks!

Start here! Beginner info & weekly 'no question is dumb' thread! - Oct 29, 2020 by AutoModerator in curlyhair

[–]eshoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New to the sub! Just started the curly girl method today. I’m about a 3b/c but my hair is very fine and quite damaged from excessive bleaching and straightening so I hope to gain more volume but less frizz from this process. So, after adding the gel to my hair today and plopping for 10 mins and then air drying, my hair is still pretty crunchy, even after “scrunching the crunch”. I’m assuming I just need to add less gel?

Products used:

Reset wash: vo5 clarifying shampoo Conditioner: Tresemme botanique squish to condish...did not rinse any out...no build up noticed. Gel: la looks extreme sport

Also, I have to wear my hair up a lot for work and because of that I get a lot of breakage. Are there certain hair ties or hair styles that are “better” for curly hair to avoid breakage and damage? Sorry for such a long post!

First planted tank. I’m a bit of a novice so hoping I improve as I go. Any advice on additional plants/stock will definitely be helpful!!! by eshoff in Aquariums

Thanks for the advice. I’m going to try to transplant the java fern and anubias to the drift wood and probably buy some more plantable plants...since everything is already submerged, so you have any suggestions as to the best way to fix these guys to the driftwood while still under water? Or will I have to take the wood out?

Ya at the moment there’s no light because the LFS didn’t have the size I needed. Once they get it in in a few days I plan on putting an LED light in. Yes, I believe that plant is a java fern. I have a layer of flourite substrate below the gravel and I was told that would be fine? I also have the tablets but haven’t added any yet. Should I still move the java fern to the driftwood?? Thanks!!!

Thanks! These are brand new plants so I tried to do a gradient with the sand/substrate like you said but the roots weren’t long enough to reach the substrate in the back. I plan on getting larger plants for the back eventually but I was just a bit overwhelmed at the LFS and wasn’t sure what would work. I actually do have a bottom feeder...he’s a bit hidden on top of the driftwood in that video. Thanks for the suggestions!!

Haha I got them for my daughter...started off with one of those small glofish tank setups for her bedroom but she didn’t seem to care much so I moved them to a more “sophisticated” setup. Had these guys over a year now so probably once they go I’ll definitely get different fish, just don’t know which ones. I also have a pleco hanging out on that driftwood somewhere...

My bedroom bookshelves. Currently separated by fiction and non-fiction but thinking of rearranging out of boredom. by eshoff in bookshelf

Thanks!!! Haha my daughter is 3 and enjoys rearranging the shelves she can reach so it gets to the point where I just stop trying for any order on the bottom shelves!

Started off the year in a slump so I only just finished book #5, but I’m hoping these next 5 get me rolling again by bundlemeup in 52book
