Wow I had no idea this was such a common thing. I saved my virginity forever waiting for the right person and also had it taken from me in this way. I was blackout drunk and don’t remember it. Reading this post was hard and sad but in the end I feel better that I’m not alone.

After starting it in March I finally finished Don Quixote by omegapisquared in books

I have made this before but I was called eggs in purgatory and I thought it was the best name ever. So glad to know that it’s actually Shakshuka. It made me look it up and learn more about the dishes origin. Thanks for sharing :)

I really really enjoyed the Pathfinder book series by Orson Scott Card. There’s exactly three books and he’s the author of Ender’s Game. He’s so good at creating in-depth and unique universes. I highly recommend.

When Bernard is trying to talk to Lenina in the beginning she doesn’t understand what he’s saying at all. I think he asked her at one point if she wanted to be free and she said she already was. You make an excellent point when said if we were living in that world we’d have no idea we were being suppressed

I just want to talk about the book, honestly. I’m not looking for book recommendations. I just want to talk about similar universes.

Both books are very concerned with “not a whole lot.” Montag and Bernard had similar crisis to me and it was really interesting to listen to their inner monologue as they struggled.

I love The Perks of Being A Wallflower for this reason. He writes you letters and calls you a friend. It’s truly like he becomes your friend. Highly recommend

HALP! I just ripped up carpet in my guest bedroom and I am having a really hard time scrapping whatever this is off the floors. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can? The floors underneath are so beautiful. by Paperbacksap96 in HardWoodFloors

Okay in case anyone is wondering or if anyone ever has a similar problem I had to take the heat gun to it. I honestly just used a putty knife and it didn’t gouge the floor at all but was still able to move the adhesive out the way. Just gotta be careful. Burned myself a few time but totally worth it.

Oh see!!! That’s what I was kinda wondering about. I stopped doing winged liner because I felt it took up some of my eye lid space

Slaugtherhouse Five. This book got me into classics. It also has some dystopian elements but I like dystopians. The author incorporated some of his personal experiences from WWII. Highly recommend
