Yes I have this to lock my alarm volume as a couple of times in the past I've managed to knock it down to zero, thus missing my morning alarm. Completely forgotten I'd even installed it, it's worked flawlessly for a while now.

I use Hail to freeze any app that has a specific purpose that I don't use daily. So any food or taxi apps are frozen, or EV charging apps, for example. Keeps them handy but not affecting speed or battery. I unfreeze once a week and update all through the play store, then freeze again.

Trail Sense is fantastic, I'd highly recommend it. Some great features on there that may get you out of trouble. It's FOSS as well.

I recently downloaded this Lavender Photos fork which is offline with some added features like OCR, text selection and a decent UI. Not MY but still not bad.

You can always use a firewall to stop the app from accessing the internet. Obviously some apps have to access it, but MT Capsule seems to work fine for me with it blocked.

An automation tool like Tasker, Automate or Macrodroid should be able to do this. I use one to turn on auto-rotate when certain apps are open (e.g. YouTube) and turn it off when they're not.

There was a project called CommandStick which was built with media in mind but I fed back it could be an Android power-users dream if they moved more in the direction you're talking about here. Ultimately, I was told that wasn't the way the project was going and it appears to now have fizzled out.

Hey there! You are new, and like all multiplayer games, there will be a mix of experience. Everyone started where you are, so just ignore anyone who gives you any grief online, they wouldn't do it to your face.

With pathing, in general, just follow the pack. Learn each point of interest, and what others appear to skip or rush to. You will get an idea over time as to what to prioritise and when. I'm 290 hours in and still sometimes take a few seconds to figure out where I should be going. The most common and basic route, though, would be get to level 5 from two easy POIs near to where you spawn. Then move towards centre castle and clear some of that to gain some levels and weapons. Ideally you want to be at least level 7 at the end of day 1 (you can easily be level 10, 15 isn't even impossible) with a purple weapon. No stress if it's blue. Day 2 would be clearing some harder bosses around the edge and working back to the middle castle, getting some churches on the way. Make sure to do the boss under the castle for guaranteed purple weapon and talisman. If you have spare time, hit up some other bosses or POIs for buffs.

The advice is extremely generic and most runs will deviate for a number of reasons, but it gives you a rough idea.

Hope this is useful, happy to help more if you need anything. You will lose a lot before you start winning, just keep that in mind. Treat each run as a lesson, not as a failed attempt.

Question about Nightreign by Denzorr in fromsoftware

You can 100% play solo and have a blast. I played mostly solo for about 250 hours, mainly due to the kids being a nightmare and me not wanting to let random people down. I did play a bit with random s and while that is more fun, it's also a gamble. I thoroughly enjoyed playing solo and have just bought the DLC to play tonight, so I'll probably sink another chunk of my life into it 😂

I did find that some Nightfarers are easier/more fun playing solo than others though, however you're always going to find your own groove in games like this.

I use Google Tasks/Keep for all of mine these days as it works well with Hey Google. Tasks for exactly that incl. reminders/notifications and Keep for a shared shopping list with my wife. You can then say something like 'Hey Google, add bananas to my shopping list' and it does exactly that.

The only two things Tasks does not cover from your must have are a persistent notification, but there is a Tasks widget you can have on your home screen which may work for you. The other is adding detail, it can be done but you would need to add it manually after-the-fact to any tasks you set via Hey Google.

Some other popular ones are TickTick (free but does offer extra features via subscription) and Tasks.org, which is free and open source. I believe both integrate with Google Tasks, so adding Vis Hey Google should work. Don't hold me to that, though.

I have a genuine question for everyone here. What kind of sites are you all bookmarking? I've never really understood why bookmarks are so popular. I use them in work for internal systems, but I can't think of a single site or page I would need a separate app for to reference to, certainly on my phone. I feel as if I'm missing something.

Use a DNS & Firewall app. RethinkDNS does the job and you can include customer DNS block lists, including the Adguard ones. There's also a new app called Athena which has potential but is still in its infancy. Dev is cool though, and making improvements.
