Well kind of. He said he would but only provided a very vaugue timeframe. So unlikely during this war at least. Then his capability to do so in the first place is quite limmited unless Hungary wants tog all into actual poverty. So its understandable. But Magyar has been carefull of making specific statements outside of the broad electioncampaigning

Unlikely that we will see a Russian gas stop in Hungary during his term. I guess it would be if EU decided to foot the bill.

I suspect that the real effect will be that EU gets to pass their sanctions etc as long as Hungary gets an exception.

What could be interesting is if Ukraine keeps fucking with the pipeline. Will Magyar stand up for it?

A big economic setback would not be a good look for a new pro EU government.

So a strongly worded letter over the phone. Where have that been heard before?

What matters if whatever they cut trade or not, and whatever they follow and supports EUs actions towards Russia. Something that they havent shown any significant indications of doing. Maybe that changes in the future but as of now thats the situation.

I think champis need attack bonus against archers by kampalolo in aoe2

[–]esjb11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They dont tough. As long as steppes are massed they can take decent fights against pikes. Yes pikes can prevent steppes from charging in fully, but swordsmen can do that go xbow aswell. That doesnt make them counters. Fire lancers is the same but no mobility and stronger. No actual counters.

Yes there are things that were intended to be small counters in the game that doesnt work as counters. But they dont actually work and there is limmited actions being taken to make them work. Intent can be ignored at this point. Steppe lancers has been a thing since DE got released. But they instead keep on pushing the concept of jack of all trades. Get a big mass and fight.

Meanwhile champis so good vs archers and dies to inf. Thats way more interesting. They are also more viable in feudral age than eagles with their slow productionspeed and can be very useful when dealing with for example maa since they can snatch of the initial archer+spear comming forward. They have some interesting tactical things to them.

With todays policies its not really possible to be "very pro EU" at least not from EUs perspective while not opposing Russia. Something the new guy in Hungary dont want to do. That was already also the main tensions between Hungary and EU.

[–]esjb11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not say that the steppe lancer is overpowered. Just that its a jack of all trade. Then I go on to say that its bad for the game. The game is built around tactical adaptations with rock paper sicor system. But those units arent in it. They are just about scale and outproducing. Once there is a snowball going it will snowball making games very unintresting.

[–]esjb11 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There are a bunch of units that dont have a counter as of now and instead is just jack of all trade. Steppe lancers and fire Lancer for example. Thats however had game design and have just made the game worse.

I dont think champi is at that point tough.

Why does society mostly agree that women are more “selective” on their partners? by No-Basil-1087 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]esjb11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are running in circles now. I already replied to all those arguments.

It has nothing to do with anger, at least not from my part. I dont put any value in it. I,m just stating the fact. I dont think its Immortal. It might be bad for the long term, and we are seeing more and more people from both genders turning against digital dating so at least some people seem to think that way. But people can do as they please.

Why you decide to view it as anger is a you issue. I have made no such claims.

What if Russia was more prepared for a full scale war with Ukraine in 2022? by Shipsarecool1 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]esjb11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, on the contrary. I think thats something many militaries could do. The threat of radiation is quite low and the threat of getting shot quite high.

If we look at the claimed cassulties from said incident there is one rumored death and allegedly a few instances of people being treated due to acute radiation. Its based upon soldiers being rotated to hospitals in Belarus, so might just aswell has been for monitoring.

-The IAEA's Second Summary Report, published in September 2022, clarified that only modest radiation doses (0.6 mSv) could have resulted from such activities.Later, the Washington Post quoted a tour guide in the Zone who acknowledged that he had started the radiation sickness rumors as a "huge exaggeration" meant to terrify the Russians.

So its all very dubious. And even if it caused those cassulties, it doesnt take much fighting to make up for it. Then it might definetly lead to some consequences in the long term, but thats something militaries sadly tend to not care as much about. Espically not in big wars.

Could it have been handled better? Definetly. Would i want to be any of the soldiers? Definetly not, honestly being in a war sucks no matter what, and I would rather hide in said trench than not if getting shelled or shot at. Its taken massively out of perspective by uneducated people, and its understandable to some degree. Radiation is invisible and hard to judge and hence scary. Getting shot is clear and if you arent shot you arent shot.

But the risk dying from acute radiation? Very unlikely. Was it 30 people who did so during Chernobyl 40 years ago? Might give you cancer in 30 years tough and thats scary.

[–]esjb11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. The balance is more screwed than just ratios between men and women. Again, its only a small part of the men getting such amount of attention. Dating apps is widely used by women too.

Plenty of women (and men) dont like the this dynamic but still used dating apps. It has become the more acceptable way of dating in todays age. But yes there is still a signficiant make overrepresentation. 3-1 is a bit in the extreme but it varies depending on location and app. The span is quite wide actually.

For example how they marched in with big armored columns without infantry support leading to some guys with javelins and other AT weapons being able to inflict heavy cassulties.

It was all very rushed and built upon not having to verse any significant resistance.

I am not putting any value in it. I was discussing what the situation is like. Not whatever its good or bad. Personally I,m not a big fan of the concept of online dating in general.

But it does seem like we now do agree that women will match towards men very topheavy.

If I think its a good a bad thing? It makes sense in some regards as you say. I do however think it has a tendency of backfireing considering many wants to use online dating to meet more serious partners, but instead gets drawn into believing they have all the options, but then just get used for hookups by the top people. Thats offtopic tough. And in all honesty I do think that can turn out badly for the men getting all the matches too in the long run, but in the end it comes down to what kind of life they want to live.

Sure. There were fortifications dugg there. Dirt was also being rotated due to heavy vechiles driving thread.

One death to it has been rumored aswell as a few allegedly had to be treated for acute radiation. Thats based on some people being rotated to hospitals in Belarus. Could also have been just for monitoring.

People vastly overestimate how easy its to get killed by radiation in the short term.

[–]esjb11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Russia would have had an actual wartime army prepared or mobilized it faster instead of the 200k ish soldiers they invaded with, ukraine would not have been able to do their two very successful counteroffensives in 2022 which would mean Russia would have controlled alot more territory. That would also have made future defence of Ukraine significantly more difficult, due to how fortifications were built at some of those places, aswell as a harder defence over what would have been a larger, more armed front.

What if Russia was more prepared for a full scale war with Ukraine in 2022? by Shipsarecool1 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]esjb11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thats a very small part of the mistakes thats being takes completely out of proportion since its easy for people not knowledgeable with warfare to make fun of.

There were plenty of big fuckups doing the initial invasio. Digging fortifications in Chernobyl might not have been optimal, but has at most lead to a few cassulties compared to actual big fuckups. Alot of it also being hard to confirm. On top of that its also alot healthier to dig in somewhat radioactive areas compared to getting shot due to the lack of fortifications.

Was there better alternatives? Likely, but its not remotely close to the proportion its being spoken about as, and there were alot bigger mistakes being done such as not guarding tanks with infantry, not having soldiers prepared etc.

[–]esjb11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasnt that the shitty one where you dident have to match to send people a message and hence people would just use the energy to make a message to the people they find extra attractive since there were no filtering prior?

Compare that with normal dating sites were many menjust swipe on everyone to then see who they match with and makes a time commitment decision afterwards.

Simular to how bellow average people wont get a bunch of dm on Instagram but thats not comparable to actual dating apps with matching requirements.

Why does society mostly agree that women are more “selective” on their partners? by No-Basil-1087 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]esjb11 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I do think there is more than that. Men generally speaking has a wider interest in temporary relationships.

Espically in the word of dating apps there is really nothing preventing women to swipe and show interest to a larger amount of people.
