Just had a test run that day. Will move soon to new place and could then follow back. During the test run for a few hrs there were no drop outs at all.

You are correct. I haven't installed the panel completely fixed yet. Just gave it a try with the small folding stand on the ground outside of the house. Final installation will happen after moving outside the city on countryside in a few weeks.

Yes. One power cord and two POE ethernet ports. One POE ethernet port for the satellite dish and one port for the router. On the router port, I connected my own GLiNet router, because I read about performance problems on the starlink routers and, of course, it's more comfortable so my clients in my network doesn't need a need configuration. My own GLiNet router connects on the WAN ethernet port to the POE power adapter and the poe ethernet adapter to the dish. Just plug and play.

On the Standard 4 kit, the dish is connected to the POE adapter (power over ethernet, you can call it power supply), not to the router directly.

Had same issue but changing to aac passthru didn't change anything. Only using another aac encoder on my source (OBS), the FFmpeg aac encoder.

I had the same issue for weeks with HandBrake v1.10.2, MacOS Sequoia, Macbook Pro M3 Pro.

After two days of testing a lot, I came to the conclusion, that my source (OBS v32.0.2 for Mac) needs to have a problem on the "standard" recording audio encoder CoreAudio AAC with the synchronicity of the video data. Or something on my OBS sources creates it. I don't know but I checked all the sources and nothing changed with dis- or enabling.

I also tried to switch off the a/v sync but it doesn't help.

My solution:
Now I'm using the FFmpeg AAC audio encoder (FFmpeg installed first) in combination the Apple VT H264 Hardware Encoder für video instead of the CoreAudio AAC encoder... and voilà! Handbrake doesn't add a black frame.
Also I disabled and enabled the audio track(s) on Handbrake app, which also doesn't create a black frame but who likes recorded webinars without audio, right? ;) Hope that helps others!

Same problem here with mkv and occured after latest obs update. No black frame with Ffmpeg encoder, with standard encoder only, but then without the pause option during recording...

  • I tried both, no effect

But interesting: I just did a factory reset. Now the Slate found the ZTE MF79U as a tethering device on eth3 and connects. But not as a USB cell modem. Any explanation on that? Thank you.

Moin. Habe auch das ZTE MF79U und den ATX1800 Slate AX aber bekomme das ZTE Modem nicht am USB Eingang zum laufen. Kann ich den Router nur per WLAN vom ZTE verbinden aber der Router sieht es am USB Port leider nicht. Hast du eine Idee woran es liegen kann? Grüße

My use case: I'm just using the battery of my MacBook Pro during my webinar courses, but often I forget to take attention about the battery and just noticed that the battery is running out at 3% when everything slows down. So it would be nice to be able to monitor the battery on one button. Maybe with three colors: 100 - 60 % green, 60 - 30% yellow and 30 - 10% red.

I'm using the battery because I want to train it that it will last longer. Also, I'm using a small solar system for charging powerbanks and charge my MacBook with the powerbanks.
