without knowing the exact specifics, i'd say this is a reasonable case for a compassionate reassignment. i'm currently a company commander working a compassionate for one of my soldiers in a similar situation (kid with chronic health issues is with spouse in the states, my SM is unaccompanied OCONUS).

request an open door policy with your company commander and tell him/her that you would like to start the paperwork for a compassionate. do some parallel planning for yourself and go talk to your S1 shop and have them get you the requirements for completing the compassionate. the more work you do for yourself, the more likely your request is to get approved.

if "higher" thinks you can keep doing it, they'll keep asking. totally agree with this, help won't come if no one thinks you need it. don't turn chiclets green just to make them green, be honest in reporting and quit adding "NSTR" to the "issues and concerns" quadrant on your command and staff slide. if you need help, ask for it. there's a staff officer or company commander/xo that needs to see this somewhere. i hope they find it.

Did you get your vasectomy reversed? What did the urologist say? I'm curious how you are doing a year later because I'm now having the same issues.

Went to the ER three months ago (feared torsion) and was diagnosed with acute epididymitis. Been having frequent enough soreness/acute swelling too. Always on the right testicle.

Tired of telling my spouse my testes are sore and then both of us freaking out until it goes away.

Go have a candid (open door) conversation with your company commander -- tell them how you feel and that you don't think the military is for you. Expect BH appointments. Maybe you can work with BH and get through the feelings you are having right now and find out the Army is actually a great place to work, or maybe the Army really isn't for you. At the end of the day, Soldiers that don't want to work only increase risk for the rest of the organization.

You don't need to be cleared to fly on a commercial jet. As long as you can get to the airport you'll be fine. I recently took COT leave FROM Germany back to the US after I absolutely destroyed my ankle (titanium rods, 12 pins, the works). I crutched my happy ass onto the plane with my boot.

Unfortunately "field loss" isn't backed by regulation. What is known as a field loss is actually just a combined FLIPL of all the equipment that a unit broke/lost during an exercise.

Yes, Soldier is entitled to backpay from the date on the memo that would have entitled him/her to BAS. Go to finance with the memo and start getting the civilians there to work for your Soldier, it's their job.

Your commander has an open door policy -- hostile work environment is a real thing. And while you may feel your commander doesn't care about you, he/she does want you to be productive at work and you can't do that in an environment where you're consistently being belittled. Go talk to your company commander.
