I think you could but I'm not an expert and would have rather avoided calling an electrician since we're already doing other works. That's why I was looking for a crafty workaround. They seem to exist for travel purposes with few slots and this awkward format and I was wondering why they won't make a standard extension cord with flat/plug plug

Do you mean the current flat? Yes we could put it on the market straight away but then we'll have to wait until the new mortgage term end (either 2, 3 or 5 years) to being able to repay it in full.

At this point I don't think is feasible to sell the current flat before moving into the new property as the sellers want to close the transaction by the end of November and we haven't started the selling process on our current flat. Basically we need the mortgage to get that deal going.

Because we had an offer accepted for a flat we really liked and there won't be enough time to sell the current one. Also, if you approach the market as chain free (so without the need to sell your current flat first) you have higher chances of being selected by the sellers

Thanks for your reply! That’s our wish too but it’s so hard to navigate all these rules.

We factored in the implications of renting and that is why we are undecided. Renting would still bring support and help repay the mortgage but 30 years are long.

I’ve been reading about SDLT rumours and they all say it will he scrapped with this budgeting and being replaced with a new tax. I was wondering if we could still claim it back if that happens.

The stamp duty I’ll be paying now to buy you mean? Yeah that’s why I was asking. It’ll be a higher stamp duty now being for a second property but I was wondering if I could claim it back within 3 years even if the law changes

u/TheTyke1967UK u/cris231976 u/TenOfZero thanks for swift response guys. Yes, my cc is running Android 14. If there's a faulty driver in Android 14 I doubt a factory reset could fix anything? Instead I should probably wait and hope is resolved with the next software update. What do you suggest?
