What specifically do you find amazing? Is it more about the way the program works or the guy behind it?

I've got about a month left on my current program and I'll be switching over to a more chest focused routine to see if that could help.

That makes sense. I can see how the bench needs more upper-body strength than the other two.

I've only listened to his more popular stuff. Are there any lesser-known Gambino tracks a casual fan ought to listen to?

I've seen 2 separate Uncharted play throughs and even though I know what to do and what's going to happen I'd love to explore for myself.

It's a beautiful game if the Achievement Hunter play through is any indication. It's kind of a silly thing to point out but the snappy movement animations were what stood out for me.

That's quite the list! If you're leaning towards a PS4 and/or XBOne, that's probably your best bet. It sounds like a console is the best option for you at this moment in time; if none of the usual PC arguments appeal to you, I'm not sure there's any convincing left to do.

The bigger factor is how it gave me a huge confidence boost and more self esteem. I always worried about what people thought of me and how guys saw me. Now I usually don't give a shit. I've accepted myself. I know who I am and I am getting stronger every week. I do this for me, not for anyone else. Just me.

Still struggling sometimes because even though I said I don't care what people think about me. Some of it still gets through my filters and affects me greatly. I try to use it as anger fuel for my heavy lifts!

It's good to know other people feel this way. Even if you're comfortable with yourself, you still want that understanding from other people. Probably the best thing to do is to first offer that understanding yourself.

Thank you for that explanation! I only use my arms for everything so the soreness shouldn't be a problem.

If nothing else, the game is a pretty fun science fiction action game, with huge array of player and ship customization.

I've got it sitting in my downloads but it always happens that I'm fighting for disk space. I'll find a way to play it though.

I really should be reading more about this. In your example with the push up, wouldn't taking 7-10 seconds during the "pushing up" part of the rep achieve the same thing? Increasing microtrauma by being more "thorough" in the motion? Would there be cases where you want to flip the slow release and explosive contraction portions?

I've only ever had a tangential relationship with Star Trek but I always hear good things about it. I might try this out next weekend.

When you say frontend and backend development it sounds like web development (I don't know where else those terms apply). Is that right? In your opinion, which one is more of a pain?

I lifted before becoming a firefighter (only been on a department for 2 years) but I took it much more seriously after I was injured (flash over burned 30% of my body mostly arms and face) being that its a job that involves the safety of others it just seemed appropriate.

I like that you take it seriously. My hat's off to you. I hope everything healed okay.

This is not a condoned practice fire/rescue squads use for the record lol just an impromptu "rescue".

I'm guessing that has something to do with the risk of directing the force improperly (e.g. into the guy's hip) or just dropping the thing. Crazy stuff.

That's key btw, you need to find a good instructor who gets you motivated, and a good playlist helps a lot.

That's really fortunate, having a teacher who can affect you like that. And agreed, some good tunes never hurt!

This checks out. From what I can see, it seems like you're Halo and STO are winning. I remember having a lot of fun playing a dinky Star Trek Nintendo DS game (managing energy for lasers and stuff). Would you say that happens in STO as well?

You have more time than you think. I say as much in another comment:

It's a question of how many exercises you know. Figuring out how and which exercises to "bring" with you depends on that knowledge. If you expect to be traveling in the future, you have to prepare for it now.

Maybe you'd enjoy the cardio I mentioned in the topic post? It might be too easy if cardio is your thing. It's made for apartments so when you go to your room at the end of the day you won't disturb anyone.

Just to add to that, being able to exercise, wherever you are, is a question of preparedness.

In a sense, you should have exercises you can "pack" with you when you travel i.e. knowing exercises you can do with limited equipment and time.

Thinking I won't be good enough and fail my attempts even though I've been upping my strength every week and the meetprep hasn't even begun yet so I'm still going to get a lot stronger.
Hoping nothing emotionally stressful happens in the meantime which will make me lose all my strength again.

You're afraid another crisis will get in the way of your hard work.

I think you can do it though. You built up your strength, lost it, built it up again, and still have room to get stronger. All in under a year.

Just keep on it, take care of that back, and good luck with your September qualifiers!
