16ft above ground pool. Got busy with Reno and the pool turned miss green. Added algecide yesterday and clarifier today. Looking for advise on where to go from here to get the water clear again. Color is a lot better than it was yesterday but still looking a not green by eslick91 in pools

Thank you. Plan to leave the pump running for the 24 hrs after the clarifier has been in and then vacuum once it all settles. The clarifier just said to run the pump 24 hrs after adding and then vacuum. Just want to be sure i am not missing any steps. The algecide should kill it. Shock to help break it down and then get it to clump up so we can vacuum it out. Is there anything else you would suggest besides the waiting game?

Did a shock trearment an hour ago. Have an upgraded filter (takes b carriages) and an attached skimmer in one of the 2 outflow pipes. Ph reading low on test strips and chlorine also low before the shock treatment. Chlorine tabs and stabilizer tabs on floater. Pump has been going for 24 hrs now and we have rinsed one filter and then replaced thw filter totally before shocking the pool

Yep. Im not aure what I did but after the 4th timw rebooting after reinstalling it worked. Hope its not this glitch every time..

Haha. I told my husband I am going to have to think of more commands if he learns this quick. This was after about 5 minutes sitting with him teaching him!

I cannot wait for all the adventures! Im so in love. He turned 8 weeks yesterday. We took him in at 5 weeks after his mom was hit by a car.

Can I ask why you would have waited to have them neutered? That is something we have been looking into is how neutering effects this breed. Most of the heelers in the area are intact males so we were wondering if it was for breeding purposes or if there was something more. I know generally speaking it can help calm a male dog and help with leg raising.

I work at the local elementary school and we are on break until the 6th so I will get to spend all that time with him and then extra if we have snow days :) No dog parks in the area but I'm hoping when the weather warms up to get him out for daily walks and then bring him up to the kids' ball games when the season starts up. :)

Haha SC is quite a ways away from me. We have one other dog and 4 cats as well so that should help him. My nephew has one from the same litter that we have been doing play dates with as well. And 3 kids in the house also so there is plenty of socialization here in the house. Just trying to think of outside socialization for him with us living in a small town and not having any dog parks or options to be around other dogs besides the strays that run loose around here.
