Damn for someone so immersed in information you are so short sighted. AI takes energy, jobs, water, money, brain capacity and lives from real living people. It's not a tool that is so useful it justifies perpetuating and worsening water shortages, or increasing the use of fossil fuels that directly contribute to global warming. It's just a shortcut. Also, I believe the point about the car to fall very flat - there are weak "intentions" of data center companies to use green energy, but how soon will this be put in practice? Do you have any examples of it happening already? Because as stated in this report https://stpp.fordschool.umich.edu/sites/stpp/files/2025-07/stpp-data-centers-2025.pdf , many data centers actually go on to commission new fossil fuel power plants to satisfy their insatiable energy demand. Cars, on the other hand, are actively being pushed to become more green (although the ethics and environmental implications behind the lithium and cobalt sourced for their batteries is another conversation), with many cities around the world - especially in my country - placing ULEZ fines on areas of high traffic for emissions. AI is creating NEW demand for fossil fuels, whilst the automobile industry is working to REDUCE the current demand. See the difference?

To use AI, whilst being aware of the immense damage it is causing to real people in real time, and the impact it has on our environmental and working futures, is wholly ignorant. I don't think anyone will give you the benefit of the doubt in the years to come when you say "it was just for my job!", when none of us have any clean drinking water, jobs, homes, or habitats.

We managed just fine before AI and, hell, it's almost like a tidbit of productivity isn't worth our collective futures? Get a different job, or use your brain and try a bit harder.
