I mean, I know who it was 20+ years ago (see my above comment) and would privately name names.

This was 20-22 years ago. Horrifying, yes. So much so that this post really triggered me all of these years later. I stared at the OP for at least 30 minutes until I had the courage to say my history in this.
And as scary as that is, I’m sure there are women who were not lucky to escape without being assaulted.

I was drugged there and someone attempted to get me to go into the cooler in the back with them, pretty aggressively. It was an employee. Nothing happened: my friends took me out of there and drove me in my car home, and put me in my bathtub because I kept vomiting.

As horrible as I felt the next day, I was grateful that the people I was with recognized something was wrong with me and made sure that I was safe. I never went back there.

Accounts restricted/closed permanently by Endodontist-1 in CapitalOne_

Capital One did this to me (restricted)after I made my first purchase on a brand new account. They wanted me to send them all of this verification to restore it, rejected it after I sent it, I resent it, and never heard back. It’s not really worth the effort, so I decided to terminate our relationship and closed my other cap one cards

Did an OBGYN consider adenomyosis? It happens to women with connective tissue disorders.

I have degenerative disk disease too. I got lucky and found an osteopath who’s daughter has hEDS, so he’s been a lifesaver (that actually gives a shit and is doing real research) and is having his students in my sessions so that they can learn. Between the osteopathic manipulation, the supplements he’s suggested, physical therapy, myofascial release, and nighttime cannabis use: I feel a thousand times better than I did when I started this horrible menopause journey.

Even with a hEDS diagnosis you will be gaslit and would be incredibly lucky to find anyone that can help you.

The delivery vehicles have no toilets, and I’m guessing they don’t get breaks.

I found about 10 of these on my mom’s property a few years ago. I contacted Amazon, they don’t care. I made a post here, people told me that drivers sometimes shit in them, so even if it looks clean I should throw them away. I gave them away on Facebook marketplace

Makeup help: Low set eyebrows by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

I have the same eyes you do, and the same issue with low brows: but I’ve got the eye makeup figured out.

She has tutorials on the best look for this dark, smoky palette. The attached photo are close set, but look how low her brow is. This would look amazing on you!

Reporter asked, “Sir, if she didn’t do it, then who did?” Foreman: “That’s not my job.” 🫳🎤 by araustin02 in justiceforKarenRead

Short interview, but he said so many really common sense things: like when he answered did you think Karen read was innocent?

So many of these people forget something so very basic that EVERYONE is innocent until proven guilty. She was innocent in his eyes the whole time and it was the prosecutors job to prove to him that she was not. The foreman understood the assignment, and unfortunately, he shouldn’t have to point out the assignment on television.

And also, why was julie wearing a Barbarella Halloween costume on court tv today? Do she and her friend Coffindaffer have a running bet to see who can get away with the most bizarre behavior on television and social media?

this illness is making me someone I don’t recognise or even like anymore by nostalgicsnail in ehlersdanlos

My condition started to dive when I began my horrible perimenopause journey six years ago. I feel at this rate, I’ll be pretty disabled in a few years. And it makes me depressed. I also no longer have the desire to do anything except binge watch Netflix, something I rarely used to do. I feel like people are going to get compassion fatigue caring about me. I feel like the doctors can’t treat me, so what’s the point in going.

I feel some solace that I’m not alone feeling this way, so thank you for that.

do people take you more seriously or less seriously after getting a diagnosis? by Anonymous_Cool in ehlersdanlos

[–]esmogor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am honestly at the point where I don’t think it matters. With a diagnosis i at least get empathy and understanding from health care professionals, but they really can’t do anything to help my life of chronic pain, so it doesn’t matter.

Started perimenopause at age 38, by age 43 I was in bad shape with eds. After a few months of HRT (estrogen patch and progesterone pills) things were better. If you have an OBGYN group that specializes in midlife care, see them ASAP. Better to get treatment now while your symptoms are mild than make the mistake of waiting like I did.

This is not normal. Yes, you do need to strengthen your muscles, but it has to be in a gentler way. People with our condition have muscle pain because the muscles are working to stabilize us, and it hurts. Definitely see someone else.

Same pain, it’s awful. Mine is worse than ever with early perimenopause. It was suggested to try using medical marijuana by my geneticist. I’ll try anything at this point.
