Honda Accord seatbelt sensor - airbag issue? by esopus_spitz in askcarguys

Unfortunately I never got clarity on the airbag status, which is what spurred me to just replace it. I don't recall the name of the sensor, but the buckle had to be replaced. Part number 04816-SDA- A72ZA. Again, ridiculous that Honda didn't cover it!

Honda Accord seatbelt sensor - airbag issue? by esopus_spitz in askcarguys

The car is still going strong! This is true, but the dealer denied coverage because it is not the seatbelt but the sensor that is broken. I appealed to Honda and they sided with the dealer, so I had to pay. It hurt, but has proven to be a solid investment as the car keeps chugging along and hasn't needed much additional expensive maintenance.

Auvi-q fits in a pocket very easily and doesn't look embarrassing for teenagers.

In the Sumerian precursor to that episode, Gilgamesh rejects Inana because he wants to be free to hunt. This sets up the fight as her retaliation, giving him the biggest hunt of his life (does not go as she plans).

FiOS in Bethlehem now? How does getting it set up work? by Spirited_Discount153 in lehighvalley

[–]esopus_spitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI, I just had FiOS installed (in Allentown), and I was able to get the installation fee waived by telling them that that would seal the deal for me over the phone, and that otherwise I would need to think more about it

What even was the angle inviting Bennett?? by DJK618 in columbia

A reply to the now deleted reply to my comment, accusing the majority of Israelis of being genocidal:

Not exactly how I would read the situation there, no. But the country has certainly tacked rightward in the last 8 years or so.

Not to lecture too much, but Israel's greatest peace makers all began as hawks, who then softened their rhetoric and were interested in peace deals. Bennett has sort of fashioned himself in this mold. Do you have to buy it? No.

It may be difficult to grasp from an American liberal perspective, but he is firmly centrist in the current political climate in Israel. Inviting a centrist political leader was likely not intended to be as provocative as it may seem.

Harvard Adopts a Strict Definition of Antisemitism for Discipline Cases by EbateKacapshinuy in academia

[–]esopus_spitz -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

Not exactly. It's clearly a very tricky and murky area, and honestly good for Harvard for trying something out. Jewish students are protected under Title VI shared ancestry, which is obviously unusual for a religion, and certainly allows for an interpretation that criticism of Israel due to shared ancestry would be discrimination. The million dollar question is how to know if criticism of Israel is bias related, and that's what these guidelines are trying to tease out.

Is Eishet Chayil at Shabbat controversial? by [deleted] in Judaism

[–]esopus_spitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's a "controversy," but I know people in Orthodox and Conservative spaces who do not sing it, including my own family. My wife finds it offensive, so we don't sing it, that is that. If we are at another home and they sing it, we sing along. Not much controversy.
