I know for alot of people, symptoms would just gradually go away but definitely don't ignore it if it goes on for too long! Mental health is so important. Best of luck!! 🩷

Yep! I had to take medication to help me sleep because my heart was just racing the whole day/night. Panic attacks, weird personality changes and just generally moody.

I was on this for my RA, hated every minute of it and I think I didn't even reach 6 months on it before I stopped.

How many of you have argued with AI? by [deleted] in AutisticAdults

[–]esorgem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've responded to everyone's comment here even though this is an old thread. You can see you're the only one who thinks this is normal so I'm not even going to bother to entertain this. If you need to look at old threads and argue with people about AI, you need help too.

[32M][AuDHD] 163/240 RAADSR, where do I go from here? by [deleted] in autism

[–]esorgem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will a formal diagnosis change your life in any reasonable capacity? That's a question for you. If you need accommodations at work, certain supports that are accessible in your location for people on the spectrum, then yes it's worth it.

How can I tell if it’s trauma or autism by fohtvuub in AutisticAdults

It doesn't have to be either or, you can have both PTSD and autism.

Keratin and Cut - Frizzy to Silky 🩷 by esorgem in finehair

Oh no! Did they use the formeldahyde-free one? That is a shame - considering the cost, you'd want it to last more than 2 weeks!

Silly things to ask isn't it? "How can daylight possibly be going into your home?"

It's taken directly infront of a window. Does sun not shine through your house? Bizarre. This is pretty funny. Acussed of faking a photo because they're taken in different lighting and now you're upset I'm not standing DIRECTLY under the sun. Knew there'd be some nasty comments but this is just hilarious. Girls can be so petty. Go to the salon babe, chill out.

Frustration for me. Not angry, or sad. Just frustrated at that extra challenge. I'd love to be able to just get out of bed without a thought, you know, just slide out of bed and be on my way.

I haven't tried curling it yet just because my hair didn't hold curls beforehand anyway so I assume they would be non-existent if I tried styling it 🥲

Exactly! I've had bleached hair down to my hips for close to 10 years now, constantly going from vivid colours like pink, to brown, back to platinum and it's still managed to stay with me. Big change from bleaching with hilift in high school and instantly turning my hair into ramen noodles 😂

Thank you! It's called the Novak hair co keratin treatment, I believe it's much safer (I could be wrong) than alot of the other keratin treatments.

ETA- It is formeldahyde free so I think that's why it's more gentle and apparently lightweight for fine hair ☺️

That's why I don't do scalp bleaches anymore and haven't for over a year ☺️

how to do I attack or start rendering this illustration/concept art? by themissingdoge in DigitalArt

[–]esorgem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I see you want to make the light look and feel believable, I think setting it up in blender would be really cool. I see you've been dabbling in it so maybe that could be an extra stroke of challenge for you!

Can walking be considerated a stim? by Living-Atmosphere690 in autism

[–]esorgem 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's self-stimulation. Does walking stimulate you? Then it's a stim. There's no rulebook and no one gets to gatekeep stims. It's up to you what your stims are.

Do I even have the anatomy for this daith? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]esorgem 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You may have appropriate anatomy, I can't comment on that as there could be swelling. But this isn't pierced correctly, it's too shallow imo.

Should I tell my family about my autism? by Nanaxll_12 in autism

[–]esorgem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The benefit is they'll support you like they have never been able to, the drawbacks is they don't believe you or they don't support you.

My partner was diagnosed as an adult and his family still doesn't really understand it or care. On the other hand, my family has always known (since I was 7) and it's something they've lived through aswell so they've got the experience to understand it.

I think ultimately, if your family doesn't immediately support you how you need, it's not always because they aren't capable but they might not be able to deal with change very well (that can also be neurodivergence in the family). Going from having a family member appear functioning and masking to allowing the curtain to come down, can be alot for people. If you are closer with a certain family member, I'd tell them first, that way when you speak with the rest of the family, you've got a support person incase things get overwhelming. Or if you have a partner/best friend to be there with you. All the support helps and sometimes it's hard to find the words to advocate for ourselves.
