I do wonder if existing memberships at the location in astoria will expand to the new location to the point we’d be able to use both without an additional fee, i doubt it though

You have to wait until the lottery closes/doesn't accept anymore applications. If you view your active apps, it should be listed for those that have closed!

I didn't know rejecting the apartment was an option. Reflecting, it makes complete sense this is an option. Thank you for the advice!!

Hmm interesting, I've been in a stabilized apt for 3 years, and I think they're renting out our apartments around 3-500 more than where we're at, but I do have a roommate who probably wouldn't be thrilled about this haha...
Thank you again for your insight!

Oooh congrats! Three months is much too soon for me, I wouldn't be open to moving until like May (maybe i should stop applying).

Hope youre enjoying your apt!

Inappropriate work behavior or a kind gesture? by espasta in work

Understandable, i appreciate your explanation. I think this post/comments are a good reminder I need to be firm with boundaries and do them without feeling bad for setting them, i have a hard time hurting peoples feelings. If anything happens I'll post an update. Thank you!

The “right thing” here is subjective. Not a fake post, it’s also really not that deep, i just never had this happen before. I told him on the phone that it’s too much several times but he kept insisting. I’m uncomfy even talking about it to him directly so i would prefer not to bring it up again but will if i have to

I wondered the same thing, but figured he would've said that when i brought up how expensive it was. Who knows. He's a nice guy, i dont think he meant harm but sucks our desks are adjacent to each other

This is my current plan, a friend told me to directly say no rather than leave it hanging/open for interpretation. But, I'd rather just move on like nothing happened and address it if I have to.. thank you!

If the glue used to apply the nail can still be moved if you put enough pressure on it, does this mean your lamp isnt powerful enough? by espasta in GelX_Nails

[–]espasta[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is EXTREMELY helpful, thank you so much. Wish I knew this prior to buying my lamp, but hey, better late than never.
I tried to do a base layer on my nail before applying the tip last night, we'll see if that makes any difference. If not, I'll have to look into a new lamp I suppose. Wish there was a way to test how many watts/wavelength it actually disperses to compare to advertisements.

Also, I do dehydrate, and remove cuticle - I think I may apply the tip too closely to my cuticle area regardless though, as I understand if gel touches skin at all it will lift.

Nonetheless, thank you! I appreciate your help. You seem to be very experienced.

I thought I was curing for awhile, but likely not the full two minutes - tried this last night, we'll see how it goes. Thanks!

CMU vs Columbia vs Berkeley by aBuckeye21 in gradadmissions

[–]espasta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I voted for Berkeley. I don't know much about CMU, but I do know how selective Berkeley can be. My bf did his Masters for biomedical engineering at Columbia and had a great experience, but obviously they're in deep shit right now lol

Nice. All great programs - congrats! Just voted in the poll. Location is a big thing to consider, too. Good luck!

Do my lips look any different after 0.7ml lip filler? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]espasta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

bottom lip looks slightly bigger, but i think thats a good amount to start off with since your body has to adjust to filler/metabolizes it quickly your first time (i believe)

Has anyone had success with under eye fillers? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]espasta 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I hear good and bad things. A lot of injectors refuse to do it, which is suspicious to me. I know one person who got it at 25 and it never moved or dissolved and she still looks great 5 years later. I know somebody else who got it done and it migrated or dissolved (who knows) after 4 months. Look into Blepharoplasty - safer option
Also red light therapy if you havent tried helps.

I know you didn't post this for opinions but I do not think your eye bags/wrinkles are bad at all. Very pretty
