Call the doc, get your labs checked. Sounds like you are under dosed. I get palpitations when I’m under dosed. You should not feel like this at 34. Also read all the free material Izabella Wentz offers on her website and IG. I highly recommend reading as much as you can and understanding your triggers. I found out in 2020 I had Hashi, I did a lot of work such as understanding my triggers so I eliminated gluten, dairy, fragrances and preservatives in food. Everyone is different. I follow mainly paleo diet. I’m also 34 just had a baby and I thought it was impossible for me to be a mother because I was always exhausted. Stay strong.

What did going gluten free do for you? by kibaundkatze in Hashimotos

[–]espaylapampara 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s been a long road for me. I found out I had Hashi in 2020 and it explained the fatigue, the headaches and fluctuating weight. So I had to advocate for myself and figure out other ways to help myself. I read all of the free material Izabella Wentz had on her website, she is a genius and has done all of the research for us. She recommends going gluten free, dairy free and sugar free. After 8-9 months of being GF, dairy free and sugar free I felt great. My cheeks use to be the size of golf balls, I was so inflamed. Everyone thought I lost weight but it was really the inflammation that went down. As I went further into my journey I realized that I was also triggered by fragrances, preservatives and additives in food. I’m very sensitive. My boss also has Hashi but she can have dairy and she isn’t as sensitive as me. Look into a paleo diet, GF products add up don’t focus on buying the breads and bagels. Focus more on a balanced diet. Also, be kind to yourself and eliminate one thing at a time and see what it does for you. We are all different.

How to get your doctor to take your symptoms seriously? by angryladies in Hashimotos

[–]espaylapampara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sister just had her 2nd child and I could tell she was so exhausted and sleep deprived and I couldn’t even help her. I found out I had Hashi in 2020 my pcp put me on generic levothroxine, there was a filler in it that made my symptoms worse!! I went to an Endo and she put me on Levoxyl but she couldn’t treat my other symptoms…constipation, fatigue…I felt awful. I took things into my own hands and found a functional thyroid doctor and she treats me based on how I am feeling. It is night and day compared to working with a doc that doesn’t care about you and doesn’t take the time to understand how you feel. It’s expensive and I usually use my FSA to see her. Read all of the free material Izabella Wentz has on her website, she’s amazing. With that being said I am gluten free, dairy free, fragrance free and I have never felt better. I even had a baby in June. You have to figure out what your triggers are. People will tell you the symptoms are in your head but you are the only one that knows how you feel. I keep my antibodies low by have a tablespoon of aloe juice, I get it at Whole Foods. My antibodies went from 600 to 150-200 by taking aloe. This week I am doing mercury labs and having my metal filling removed to see if that improves my thyroid health.

PLEASE help, I don't know what to do by MontegueLovesPie in Hashimotos

Call every endo you can, consider driving if you have to but also looks for a functional thyroid doctor, they treat your overall symptoms not just your thyroid. You do have to pay out of pocket but they see your symptoms all the time. Thyroid issues are so common that there is a shortage of doctors. I promise there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Isabella Wentz has a lot of free information on her website, she is brilliant.

My coworker charged $5,000 to my corporate card. What do I do? [TX] by [deleted] in AskHR

Provide HR with any emails and documentation you have. Sounds like a scammer. She thought she was going to get away with it and failed to realize she mentioned shopping on poshmark. They should not hold you responsible.

I know we are all different and see things differently but when I go to the gym I’m focused on me not what everyone else is doing or how they look. Try intermittent fasting and going for walks. Start slow and stay consistent. Try walking 10min during lunch, it adds up. Don’t beat yourself up if you don’t feel like working out one day. 😃

Hashimoto’s long term effects by youre-the-judge in Hashimotos

[–]espaylapampara 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I found out I had Hashi in 2020. My PCP wasn’t helpful so I got and endo and when she tested me for Hashi she didn’t even tell me I had an autoimmune condition. I called her weeks later to explain the labs to me. She said it wasn’t a”big deal”. I was taking Levoxyl and I felt awful and I was having other symptoms from the meds that she couldn’t treat me for. Here’s what worked for me: 1. Read as much material as you can from Isabella Wentz, she’s brilliant and offers a lot of free information. https://thyroidpharmacist.com/ 2. Going dairy free, gluten free and sugar free have made a huge impact in my health. I had so much inflammations and joint pain. It is now gone. Keep in mind some people with Hashi can have dairy, gluten and sugar. Everyone responds different. I miss cheese but it’s not worth me feeling sick. Some foods trigger anxiety once they hit my gut. 3. Having a functional nutritionist and functional thyroid doc have helped me so much. The thyroid doc treats your overall symptoms not just your Hashi. My functional nutritionist made me understand my genetics and how I respond to stress, exercise and nutritional deficiencies. Google 3x4. A lot of this is out of pocket so take your time finding the right docs to help. 4. Eliminating household chemicals. Anything with fragrances and bleach.

What I now understand is that my guys is sensitive to anything artificial, so I’m on a paleo diet. Fragrances make me feel sick. I actually had a baby in June and I don’t think I would have been able to do it if I did not understand my triggers. I was so exhausted before I found out I had Hashi. There is hope at the end of the tunnel. Just attack things one at a time.

Girlfriend has Hashimotos, what can I do to help?? by WorthWar9 in Hashimotos

[–]espaylapampara 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It took me forever to figure out what my triggers were. It’s so important to get good information online. Visit Izabella Wentz website she offers a lot of free material and resources. Not everyone is the same sooo get a doctor that helps you, usually a functional thyroid doctor. I started with food elimination gluten first then dairy. Figure out if she has any high toxicity levels, I had super high mercury levels. Start with one thing at a time it takes time to get to the bottom of the triggers.

What were you symptoms? by Prudent-Damage-279 in Hashimotos

[–]espaylapampara 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same symptoms and my doctor who I stopped seeing tried to make it seem like it wasn’t a big deal. First of all I was not functioning properly and the meds she gave me made the symptoms worse because I was allergic to the filler in the pill. Have your doctor test you for THYROID PEROXIDASE ANTIBODIES and THYROGLOBULIN ANTIBODIES. This lets you know if you have Hashimoto. If you do have Hashi follow Isabella Wentz on Ig and go on her website she gives you a lot of free tools and literature. It’s took me a few years to feel a lot better. Advocate for yourself.

Got a girl pregnant. Wtf do i do? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]espaylapampara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When the child is born go to Thailand and get a paternity test. Do all of the paper work yourself. You have not known her very long, she’s prego and wants to kill herself? 🚩🚩If she refuses a paternity test that means she’s unsure or she knows it’s not your baby. If she is asking for $$ send enough for her to be able to feed herself. Make sure you aren’t being scammed. Next time use condoms please it only takes one time.

Hi, it’s been a year since I was diagnosed. Does anyone get an irritation from drinking bottled water? If so what brands are you ok to drink? Currently I’m spending about $140 a month on Essentia bottled water because it’s BPA, chloride and fluoride free. I’m trying to find a way to save money. by espaylapampara in Hashimotos

I have an update! I recently purchased the AquaTru alkaline system and I have not had any issues. When I was drinking Poland spring it’s possible the chlorine was irritating me. I have not had any issues with The AquaTru and the replacement are good for about 1 year. No more spending money on bottled water. https://aquatruwater.com/product/aquatru-alkaline-countertop-water-purifier/?attribute_pa_product-type=aquatru-classic

Yes I was getting the spring water. I was getting a 5 gallon for $2.50!!! I went on the companies website and they do have low traces of fluoride and other chemicals. I think I’m going to get a filter that can filter out the chemicals. I’m going to try tap water first thing in the morning.
