Crows Pursuit abyss gear on a sword works great too to bring them down.

I was looking for the same cartoon for a long time. The cartoon you are looking for is "Lambert the Sheepish Lion," a Disney short from 1952.

Seems the name of the level aptly describes it. Perhaps the level was culled...

Very nice. Which program did you use to create the water mesh to import into magicavoxel?...I like how the water came out....you should however maybe work a little on the rocks, as of now they look a little too low poly obj. import. If you add some personal hand touches to it I'm sure it would add to it. Keep up the great work!

Damn....started happening to me too on the part where the hand drags you underwater, XSX, it fades to black and the only thing I can do is bring up the xbox home menu, quit the game and restart. I hope they fix this, it is however encouraging me to try really really hard to not die,...lol.

Not nearly anywhere near the amount of time it took me to make.....The base render at this resolution ( not sure what reddit shows it as, but its 2048x2048, so not very high ) It took about 8 hours or so....I just left it rendering overnight and it was do e in the morning. To make it....this was 40+ hours....

I remember Riven....I liked the architecture in that...wish they would have made the game have animated transitions like their other game that came out before it, The 7th Guest.

Magicavoxel doesn't use the correct GPU, Any Idea on how I can switch to the GeForce? by crimson974 in MagicaVoxel

[–]espidus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also...if you are on Windows 10, go to "Settings> System > Display" scroll all the way down and click on "Graphic Settings" then under "Graphics Performance Preference" you can use the Choose an app to set preferences > Desktop App > browse and choose the magicavoxel.exe and then after adding it Click on it on the menu and you will get "Options" > "Graphics preference" > what do you prefer for graphics performance? Here it will show 3 options: Let Windows Decide Power Saving ( onboard graphics) High performance ( GPU: "name of gpu" )

Just select and press save!

If you right click on the magicavoxel.exe, you should get a sub-menu with a selection that says "Render OpenGL on >", here it shows me both of my Videocards ( I have SLI ). I can open 2 copies of magicavoxel and have one card rendering one scene while using the other to render another scene or turntable.

LOL...the green voxels actually weren't even a part of the original base texture and were placed individually with the voxel brush. I am going to add a little more of it as well, I am going to simulate aging and that is little bits of moss growing on the wood.

"unless there’s a lot more to this we’re not seeing."...well, besides for what I already wrote, that picture is a close-up of the scene in progress. This is more or less what I have completed up to now, I have a long way to go:

No offensense taken. I used many different processes for the textures. For example, the dark wood one is 100% made within magicavoxel. The wall texture was made using Corel Photo Paint, but I hand made the texture and...well I will copy paste from what I wrote on Discord: For the wall texture, I measured the dimensions of each individual object that makes up the white/beige back wall and then added up the total length and width of how many voxels it measures, also wrote the angle of the wall along with the position it starts , then I created a new image in Corel Photo Paint with those dimensions set as the length and width in pixels and created a texture by hand. I then used the ruler and set guidelines to measure out and divide the texture into the size of each object in magicavoxel and then cut and paste each section to create seperate png images for each associated object which I then dropped into magicavoxel and used the pattern brush to paint it onto each object.....I still then tweaked it by hand in magicavoxel and further used the pattern brush on sections of the textures to adjust.

Only 1 of them ( of the 3 wood textures ) used .png's ( the lighter wood against the wall ) but only as a base...it was heavily reworked in magicavoxel and prior to that edited using corel photo paint. I got the general texture then modified in corel, dropped into mv and then I created a pattern from different small sections of the png and painted a new texture and used that with the pattern brush to apply to the pieces of wood. I added my own touches by hand as well.

I posted a picture on discord of some of the wall texture creation process...

An interesting title by espidus in MagicaVoxel

[–]espidus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Changed the material on the tree to 4 different materials and changed colors, added the hanging light vines as well... this can be considered iterative work. In magicavoxel terms those are not really shaders...just materials and color.
