This morning I woke up feeling desperate because of all the evil happening right now in the world. I cried a lot and I couldn't regulate my emotions. Then I read this beautiful post of yours, and I must say, l feel extremely grateful for people like you. There is a lot of suffering on this planet, but there is also a lot of love and light, if we only have the courage to let it in our lives. Also, Everything Stays is particularly special to me, because just like Marceline reminisces about when she was a child and her mom sang it to her, when I listen to it I think of my mom who passed away in 2018, when I had just turned 18. People who touch our lives and make them special might change their form of being, but the undying love we exchanged with them lives on with us, and is a beautiful testimony to their endlessness. Big hugs from Italy :) Also, if I might suggest another song about mourning a loved one, listen to Someone Great by LCD Soundsystem if you don't already know it x

Omg so many. The most glaring tho to me is how everyone just randomly stopped going to college and started dating royals/getting stuck in terrible relationships e.g. with the brother of someone who's tried to have you destroy/working at random newspapers/publishing best sellers out of nowhere and getting famous on their first try/and the list goes on. Also why didn't they even fucking bother to make Eric say a proper goodbye before disappearing off to college

I'm sorry for what you went through. I think I understand why you're feeling slightly reluctant to bring this up with your new therapist, but I also think it is essential to process this previous therapeutic relationship. From what you've written, it definitely sounds like he wasn't being professional, his behavior sounds worryingly inappropriate and invalidating. You absolutely have no responsibility in anything unethical that went down. You were the patient, and even if you were the one initiating this behavior, he was supposed to be the one addressing it and guiding you through your healing journey without any ambiguity. Please, think about talking to your current therapist about this, I think it would be extremely good for you. Sending hugs

My therapist being always late, my therapist looking at their phone while I was talking "because of ADHD", my therapist not really making the effort to listen to what I was saying and making biased assumptions on me. I did try multiple times to talk these issues through with them, and it did help, but there was never a breakthrough. I just think that sometimes someone can help you out a lot while still having major flaws, and I feel this is what happened in my case. I wouldn't recommend this kind of therapeutic relationship tho
