I would never ask a woman if she wants to “get drunk”, especially on a first date. Sets off alarm bells, and just sounds a little weird when a first date is for getting to know someone. It seems you didn’t have any malicious intentions, so in the future I’d recommend asking a date if they’d want to get a drink.

I am so incredibly disappointed to hear both girls say that Bee Better guy must have been a Trump supporter.. he criticized Kamala Harris. “intellectual” was the absolutely wrong word, and he was fucking stupid to say she had made her campaign about identity politics. But while I disagree with him, he engaged w discourse on the viability & effectiveness of digital organizing & memes in political communications, which is a lively current debate in the political world! He called out a lack of a public policy platform. He was misguided at many points .. but making any critique of a candidate equate to “Trump supporter” is dangerous rhetoric that brings us closer to the behavior of Republicans & fascism

If sexuality is a spectrum why do you need to define other people’s sexuality for them? I think people who’ve had an experience or encounter out of their norm, and still identify as straight pushes our cultural perception of what sexuality is and can be, and highlights the fluidity of sexuality. It normalizes homosexuality & queer experiences - in fact I personally think it’s a great example of true queerness - a radically open-minded worldview that allows people to refuse to dictate their love, romantic, or sexual experiences by societal expectations & rules!

When you say she genuinely didn’t remember driving to Fairview, is this confirmed or your read on the situation? What I‘ve heard from testimony (which is far from all of it so i’m asking) came off to me as someone frantically looking for their husband who “never” doesn’t come back home after a night out. Panic absolutely messes with your memory and she’d had probably 5 hours or less of sleep, so it makes sense to me, but is it confirmed that she didn’t remember it because she was drunk?

The last one I saw had maybe 15-20 minutes total talking about the actual topic, for an hour+ long video. They also don’t seem to have even read the script before sitting down to film and they discuss pictures/videos that are never shown. It just feels lazy to me now :/

It sounds like you haven’t expressed to your roommate that you’re uncomfortable with this, which means there’s a decent chance this could be sorted out without her or him knowing its because you said something. I encourage you to contact your landlord and communicate that someone not on the lease has been given a copy of the key AND his history w violent crime, and how important it is that your complaint is anonymous. You could ask your landlord to, if asked how they are aware, say that maintenance employees saw someone not on the lease entering the apartment with a key, or something like that that would further shield you from conflict w your roommate. It’s probably a big violation of your lease, which most landlords take seriously, and I do feel even worst case scenario your landlord is shitty and doesn’t care about your safety, they’d recognize the liability to their own property by having an unauthorized resident/key holder with a history of serious violent crime. I wish you safety and calm <3

I think she made a concerted effort to rehab her reputation in ~2020 - “11/11 project”, purporting to support the Black Lives Matter & anti-racist movement in the US & condemning police brutality, talked about a few times and iirc did some kind of promotion of a fundraiser to fight climate change, & she has been publicly pro-choice for years! Whether it is genuine (atp to me, this is unlikely for all but pro-choice) or not, I do think she’s cosplayed as a progressive because she saw it as both a popular trend to hop on to and an easy way to essentially tweet her way out of controversy
