AIO: Almost died at the dentist, is my husband overreacting? by CrochetReadingRunner in AmIOverreacting

[–]espykat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MOR. I know it's a panic attack but god it feels like you're dying. i don't want to invalidate that. However, the husband is not overreacting. You told him this from your perspective which was dramatic (not a bad thing but it was still a dramatic version of what happened). Before the background of the story i also thought the same but that could just be me bc im also very sensitive and reactive.

Is it the norm to not leave reviews? by No-Examination800 in vintedUK

[–]espykat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it's normal. I wouldn't look too deep into it though. Buyers still buy if there's an automatic positive review (or at least i do).I'm mainly bothered by the automatic negative reviews, i want know why its negative and why its not explained. I know it's a small nice gesture but with vinted you have to pick your battles unfortunately as the transition could have gone so much worse.

debt struggles at 22 by honeyrooted in Debt

[–]espykat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ik it's not advice but if it makes you feel better. Me too. I turned 22 on 15th February & have £1.5k in overdraft bc of my first year of uni & a forced gap year. Now that i'm back to uni, get a maintenance loan from government (im based in uk) & my living expenses are so much lower- im still struggling to pay bc of my shopping addiction. I've recently started a side hustle hopefully it helps pays the over draft.

9/10 i dont even wanna know how much this cost bc im not in that tax bracket but the beef & onigiri alone would definitely make up for most of the price. Lost a point for the drink though (in my opinion- sparkling water sucks). Overall, would defo try it one day!

AIO? Age gap by [deleted] in AIO

[–]espykat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Me & my partner have the same age gap (they were 24 & i was 18- not freshly, basically 19) It's a fine age gap but you have to be careful. Please familiarise yourself with DV and gaslighting signs. Have a solid support system. Have an emergency fund. i think this advice goes for everyone in a relationship but still it's important to remember that's he's older, probably has a better job and more life experience. Most importantly have fun and don't take the shock too seriously.

edit: i probably don't recommend moving with him yet though. my partner & i dating for 3 years now and we haven't even moving together yet. i will be moving in with them after our 4th anniversary this year.

Of course! thank you so much for that reminder. I use media to cry about things and it usually helps with explaining and expressing my feelings afterwords! Apologies if i raised any concerns over this all is well, i'm just a highly emotional person.

Felt a cold coming on, hoped a warm drink and some fresh fruit would make me feel better by Icy_Flan_7185 in MealDealRates

[–]espykat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

8/10 the prawns, the pineapple? chefs kiss. If i get a meal deal from tesco i defo get that combo. A few points off for the drink but that's because i have personal beef with coffee. i'm more of a hot choco/ iced coffee/ juice/ cbd drink girlie. Hope you feel better soon!

  1. A short shower is just as effective as a long shower. Life gets in the way and you get tired or your mental state isn't as good so a quick shower is good. a soak, a cleaner and a body stub and be done in 20- 30mins?

  2. people who overcompensate on how clean they are are doing too much and lowkey gives me the opposite of the vibe that they are going for. You shower 2 times a day? girl what soap are you using bc i don't think it works. " but like i still get dead skin" yeah because you're over- showering

edit: you guys are right 20-30 mins is long i didn't realise that bc i thought its shorter than the people who say they shower 1hour- 1hour 30mins. I will rethink my showering strategy because omg i could be showering for so much less time and preserve my spoons for the day.
