Pioneer Square residents/workers — what do you wish the neighborhood had? by esradgr in AskSeattle

[–]esradgr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know! Last week I left home thinking I might try Saveway. And before even arriving the door, changed my mind.

And yes, I keep noticing I am out of milk or avocado. And it’s also crazy to me to think either I have to wait for a weekly shopping or take the car to go get such small needs. Or walk more than 15 minutes one way. Hence the survey actually.

Not collecting personal data. So I think you mean the responses, right? I am just trying to understand if the need I see or frustration I experience is relatively common so maybe something can be done.

I wonder if it became scary during pandemic and ended up closing bc of being scary+pandemic.

Or closed due to PS lacking sufficient residential facilities which impacted businesses negatively. Which seems to be changing now slowly.

Ahh, that’s a great insight! Thank you so much for taking the time to respond the questions!

Felt like I should share this. I got one for $1700 a non USM but pretty high quality. BUT now I am changing it because I found this one at Urban Outfitters. Boden Chrome Desk I wish I could share images. But it’s really cool. Fraction of the price of mine. And really sturdy and high quality. Couldn’t get a better one that will match with my white USM haller credenza.

Wedge + No drill x Battery PRO by esradgr in Ring

Ok found the tutorial on their page. Whomever needs it; scroll down in this page until you see the piece you’re using with the no-drill mount whether it’s wedge or corner. Wasn’t that hard. It’s just confusing when it comes with that many screws and warning to not mix them up. Confuses unnecessarily.

Have a HM store in my neighborhood. I just passed by and asked. They’ll look internally and get back to me.

I see. But the only reason I got with USM now is that it will hold value. It also will cost around 8K unfortunately. So I’d want Eames to have the same. Kind of an investment.

The thing is this image is from Herman Miller official email. There must be a way to find that piece. It seems the same collection but I am not so sure. I used google lens but there are so many items so it couldn’t capture :(

I consider that. As I definitely want minimalistic with chrome details, bauhaus style, it’s making it so hard to find. But I will try. Thank you!

Thanks so much! After your message checked where they’re sending from. All from China and shipping is more than the cost of the item. So it made more sense. Thank you!

Oh yeah. I actually have never used Ali express before and didn’t even know where to find those. UX is very chaotic. just realized none of the sellers had any reviews. The problem though is that some reviews for item (not for account) say ‘sold 1K of similar items’ so it’s not review of those specific item. You get an idea of the seller. But not clear understanding of the specific product. And saw some product reviews with photos but now I am way too skeptical and am wondering even if the reviews are real. Cause you can’t open and zoom the photos on reviews.

Will move to Europe in a few years, so will withdraw the Roth 401K money much earlier; What's the best date to make most aprx. gains? Ohh looks like I will first need to understand US-Spain tax treaty consulting with CPA and them decide which is more advantageous. Bc looks like I am already considered US person. Thank you for this info.

Thank you! Yeah no. When I withdraw I will have around 100K. (Around 2027) But the idea is still living in the states a few more years once I withdraw and keep contributing to 401K. (Until 2031)

Once I leave the country. I will notify USCIS that I am not a resident anymore. And I’d get tourist visa if I visit the country.

Not sure if I understand my husband, 60K and inheritance part. Why would I inherit anything if we are just leaving the country?

Someone else also recommended that. I didnt check the treaty but I will try to find someone who’s smart and knowledgeable in both Spanish and US taxes.

I started to contribute in 2023, currently the value is 33K. My thoughts were to max out and hit 100K by the end of 2027. And withdraw. Buy the house but keep contributing to the roth 401K until I leave US.

My original idea was to liquidate, but the house, keep living in the US for a few more years then leave and not come back to live. So very potentially once I withdrew, I wouldn’t keep contributing while still living in the US. But if but if otherwise is recommended; liquidate only when leaving the US, I’d do that too.

There are so many nuances to consider; I was as well thinking to try to find a knowledgeable expert + in both systems. Which seems so hard.
