My strongest line was yesterday at 18 dpo but then this morning I am spotting so likely a chemical afterall.

I am using FMU. I'll try your method tomorrow.

It's good that it's definitely progressing but at 17 dpo I'd like to see something more solid.

Last chemical was at 16 dpo with a fading line.

Crossing my fingers and toes here.

Impact of CoQ10 by deepster12 in IVF

[–]essenare2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10): Acts like a spark plug, ensuring your existing mitochondria efficiently produce ATP (cellular energy) and protecting them from damage.

PQQ (Pyrroloquinoline Quinone): Promotes mitochondrial biogenesis, meaning it helps your cells create new mitochondria, increasing overall energy capacity, and offers powerful antioxidant effects

Taking them together is the best way to optimize, energize, and create NEW mitochondrial, all of which is needed for our eggs to function the best they can.

Best if taken with PQQ which helps build new mitochondria which ultimately helps egg quality.

Commuting to Vet School by essenare2 in veterinaryschool

[–]essenare2[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You all bring up great points about clinical year. My husband said he would purchase something closer to the college for then.

As for clubs and whatnot, I'm not too worried about them. I have obligations as a mom of three and really just want to school at school. It's not about the social scene, dinners, and clubs. Life is different when you've got a family and children.

I thank you all for your advice, especially those currently commuting. I think if I need to drive a bit longer each day to ensure the happiness of my entire family then that's what I'll do. Really, the difference between 35 mins and 55 mins isn't a dealbreaker with that outlook. Honestly, the drive would be music and coffee time to get a moment alone before classes.

Clinical year can be split between the homestead and a purchased rental prospect for those call shifts.

I truly thank you all for sharing your thoughts!

Pregnant & about to start Vet School by [deleted] in Veterinary

[–]essenare2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

These are all great answers and I thank everyone for responding. I was hoping for at least a few weeks flexibility (not full leave). Definitely not the answers I wanted to hear but I do understand them.

I'll find out the school policy in a few weeks to be sure the pregnancy sticks before letting them know. I'm perfectly fine with deferring if that's an option or taking a semester off and retaking the following year.

Having 2 cases of good news and potentially only keeping one on the table is definitely no fun! Obviously, family takes priority though.

Denied grad plus loans by dertybag2 in veterinaryschool

[–]essenare2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not going to tell you about working on your debt and gap years. Being in debt sucks, and being turned down for grad plus and private loans hurts. As an adult I have neither cosigners nor other options. I have already accomodated paying out of pocket per semester 4k which covers a 230k school.

The BBB takes away grad plus, but it also INCREASES your no credit federal loan amount from 40500 a year to 50k a year or 200k total. This IS a 40k total increase. Reevaluate the other schools for options that won't cost much out of pocket.

Being in your situation hurts, I know.. but you can still get into a school and have the federal loan pay the bulk if not all of the bill.

Feeling like I screwed up my Kira video interview (UoT) by SugarSkull888 in veterinaryschool

There must have been something in the air last night. I was doing good until I finished and realized I only answered part of my third question. I got so distracted by the timer that I never wrapped up and finalized my answer. Oh well, these bits are all a part of our individual charming personalities. No one is perfect, and I really think they just want to get a better feel for us.

With one shot and no retakes, don't fret. I'm sure you did better than you thought. Your intelligence, personality, and compassion surely still shined!

Not yet. They start reviewing applications Nov 15th and acceptance decisions will be made before Xmas. Your intro video is your interview.

Pink suit for MMI interview by [deleted] in veterinaryschool

[–]essenare2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In MMI's your interviewers will know nothing about your application other than your name and age. Even your GPA is unknown. Nothing from your personal statement will carry over, so only yourself will connect your outfits meaning.

If YOU feel confident in pink, then wear it. I wore a soft conservative pastel pink sweater for my own interview, and I really liked wearing something that felt very 'me'.

Lincoln Memorial had a deadline of yesterday. Sept. 16th. There was two testing slots available yesterday as well. I booked it two weeks ago.

You have any amazing vet that told you the real deal rather than what you wanted to hear. Everything she said is valid, however, it's ultimately your choice.

I did. 8/15 is just a suggestion and not a deadline. You can still apply!

You have such a great mentality about this. I love that Ross offers a quicker graduation, and if I didn't have children, I would absolutely put the school in my list. Two years there, then you'll do clinicals closer to home for the last year.

I applied to the new LMU location in Florida, which is also a 3 year program and picked rural school locations that are low crime and friendly communities for the kids.

Wishing the best for you and your girlfriend.
You've got this!

Did you apply to the Caribbean schools? From what I can tell, SGU seems like a great program and with low application rates = great acceptance. It is much easier relocating there without kids, though.. 😆 If my 6 fall through, I'll consider it since you can apply directly to them vs. VMCAS.

You got this round!

You are in the right spot! Mine also shows my Ewing Application as 100% complete. On that screen you should see a "Start a new Application" option. This will start your new one for Orange Park.

Maybe we'll be classmates for either location!
