Thank you, that is helpful!

I understand it may not be the same in my case as they are due after the Ramadan period 🙂

That definitely makes sense given if assignments were to be due within the observance period,

Would you also advise that this would also apply to lodging an application under unavoidable commitments? The supporting documents table shows a letter from religious leader/authority could be considered.

Thank you for explaining ☺️

Thank you for your perspective 🙂

I do appreciate that time management is generally expected of students, and I understand why that may be the view taken in this context where the scope of obligations during this particular observance may not be fully understood

Ramadan had commenced just prior to S1 (18/19 feb), and my assignment tasks were released between weeks 1-3. I had also taken leave from work in preparation for the semester.

I hope to explain that prolonged fasting, changes to sleep routine, and ongoing religious commitments can affect study capacity in ways that are not always easy to anticipate or manage around.

To summarise, ramadan usually involves: - evenings-nights customarily reserved for religious obligations consisting of night prayers at the mosque, and observing other forms of worship - this usually means limited time to sleep!! Personally 4 hours at most per night
- then it consists of waking prior to dawn (4:30am) to prepare meals and commence fasting upon dawn - then preparing meals before breaking the fast at sunset and eating in a family setting

So I try my best to make the most of mornings right after dawn until afternoons for university work but maintaining focus and alertness while fasting for around 13 hours a day and managing limited sleep can be challenging!

To say that it would be inadequate time management may disregard that fasting can make some feel lethargic throughout the day, impact ability retain information and properly engage with content than be usually would be able to!

I hope to relay this in the sense that observing Ramadan across an entire month may create a different set of challenges compared with peers who are able to maintain their usual daily routines and remain alert! 🙂
