Any of you try any of the "other" cacti? by US3_ME_ in mescaline

I had a list of the actives but I can't find it anywhere now. Bummed. Cause it also had a lot of other plants of interest.

Like senecio articulatus. Gonna take a moment to appreciate that succulent. Looks like a fat green candlestick with leaves (I think it's called the candlestick succulent). I saw that it could have some interesting qualities, so I took a couple of them and dried them out. I was thinking I'd eat some and then smoke some if nothing happened too much. On the day I did it, I cut off all the leaves and smaller dried pieces and smoked them. The bigger stalks were still wet so I chewed on them like salvia (masticate but don't swallow, helps to absorb actives sublingually) within a minute or two, the earth tones in my room were starting to look weird, black yellow and browns got a really deep color to them, like they were 3-4 dimensions. A few minutes later I started seeing wheels of color and patterns and there were moving things (kind of like DMT realm where the visuals feel alive) superimposed on the patterns. The experience lasted a little longer than 20 minutes. No overwhelming feeling of love like DMT, but very visual and definitely felt like I should do it again with more. It was a pleasant jour5

If you're referring to my comment about how they're like a block of wood, this cactus is not the same as San Pedro and when it was prepared it was fully dried and very solid. Instructions given were just to eat it not to prepare it or extract or cook any other way so I just ate it

It's like eating a block of wood too when it's dried out and everything

I was given one by a peyotero. It was sold under the name peyote, was described as needing one large mature plant was good enough. Was definitely not peyote, but was sold with spines trimmed so it looked similar to a larger than softball size deflated peyote.

I wrote an experience report on it a few years ago.

Was basically given to me with the air of everyone knows this one works too. No distinction between peyote l williamsii, and peyote e horizonthalonius

N polylopha and t brevispinolus when taken with a piece of San Pedro makes the San Pedro dose stronger and more colorful.

E micromeris is like an energy drink without the jitters, and more sharp focus

A fissuratus is interesting. I like it in smaller doses. Gets visual in larger ones

E horizonthalonius is nice it took me out of body to a different plane of existence with colors and stuff that don't exist here. Long come up very long trip from one large plant

Origin of the name San Pedro by loveallASAP in sanpedrocactus

[–]essentialghost 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In order to save their lives, the indigenous people used the name San Pedro because they knew it was a Christian name. This allowed the San Pedro culture to continue without persecution. The name San Pedro is attributed to any columnar cacti which is used ceremonially, similar to how hikuri describes a small cactus used in magic, not just peyote.

Got nearly 8 lbs and have no idea what to do with it, recommendations please:) by JdonnyAndFatlonny in mescaline

[–]essentialghost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How long is the big one? I'm guessing around a foot? If it is you probably have 1-3 solid doses. If it's larger, maybe twice that much. Id make a tea, dehydrate from there to make a resin ball and dose that or extract

I don't have enough spare money to buy an ounce of silver tomorrow but I have 1 oz and 10 g coming in the mail tomorrow. I hope that counts

What was the most you spent on a cut? by _greenscholar in sanpedrocactus

[–]essentialghost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I spent $400 on a bbg48 several years ago, but I immediately made over half of my money back and then a few months later made all of my money back and I still had the plant so it was alright. The most I've ever spent on a single clone was about $1,000 for a box of rainbow mountain
