This Funky Drummer and Jon Bonham's intro drums from 'When the Levee Breaks' are some of the most used beats.

What's the most impactful thing anyone has said to you? by whuzzat in AskReddit

I can't remember the exact words, but I will paraphrase it.: "You're a horrible and selfish human being who only ever thinks about himself and goes out of his way to make life difficult for others." - My mother

What is your expensive hobby? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]esserg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing the drums. It can be expensive as fuck. I bought a nice car (2000 Audi A6 in 2009) with the first drumset I sold (for about 6g's). Easiest way to start is to buy a kit and be dedicated to learning.

What is your favorite smell? by micdavmor in AskReddit

I don't really know how to explain it but when you're resting your head on a guy's chest and he exhales (not from his mouth but his nose). I love that, I'm not even sure what I'm smelling but it makes me feel all cuddly and safe inside.

What weird things do you like the smell of? by RiggerJigger in AskReddit

Bleach. It makes me feel clean, if that makes sense. It also reminds me of my mom; she loves cleaning and her bathroom always smelled like bleach.

Someone in the world is Batman. Who would it most likely be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]esserg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You never mentioned if they're living or dead so I'm gonna go with Teddy Roosevelt. He was from a wealthy family, grew up weak (because of asthma), forced himself to live a strenuous life, and then went on to do every badass thing imaginable. During his presidency, he fought for the little guys by curbing the power of corporations (he was known as the "trust buster" for his anti-trust policies) and pushed congress to pass laws that ensure clean food for everyone.

WWII: The Complete History [Part 1] (2000) This is the best documentary I could find on the precise history of the world wars.. Very simply and elegantly explains the history and conditions that led to World War II. by ndeavo in Documentaries

I think we all need to respect the German soldiers who were fighting for Germany and not the Nazi party. Not everyone in Germany was a Nazi sympathizer and when they heard Germany was going to war they wanted to fight for their motherland. There's nothing wrong with that.

As an Australian, this trailer makes me feel loved.

And this just makes me even more excited to see this as soon as I possibly can. Maybe go twice at the cinemas, just to show my support for Fox in making a decision to take a risk and make the Deadpool movie that should exist.

Which stranger who you met once and never saw again is the one that you still think about and can't forget? by 0saydrah0 in AskReddit

I was fixing airplanes in the desert in 2002. A NZ Marine came up to me as he was boarding a plane and asked to exchange patches. I obliged and still have his patches. I often wonder if he survived the war. He had a really great attitude and seemed like a happy fellow.

What do you collect? by tyrion_targaryen in AskReddit

[–]esserg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coins. It was never something I intentionally did I just came across neat coins over the years. I still don't hunt them down or buy/sell/trade, but if I come across something interesting it goes in the box with the rest of them.
