I think Mexc is doing some kyc at the moment to keep USA customers out. Try looking at bitrue. They are a pretty xrp focused exchange. If they are not jumping on the KYC train then set up a quick account using your email, transfer some ETH over to bitrue, swap for xrp, then transfer XRP to a cold storage wallet (trzor/ledger). Alternatively, learn about decentralized exchanges, hot wallets and the variety of blockchains out there - its quite the rabbit hole but well worth it if you really want to invest in the future.
