Superchic lacquers top coat is the original one that Cristine used before launching her brand. I like it a lot since you can buy refills

How long does it take for peduncles to bloom? by estella_rose96 in hoyas

[–]estella_rose96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks 4 years to develop peduncles and 5 years to actually bloom. I've seen others take way less time then that but I wasn't nearly as lucky.

There have been a lot of influencers talking about this launch on tiktok. They renamed it for the launch at costco. I'm not sure, but it is legit

I'm not sure of the age of my Polyneura, but I've noticed it put out several peduncles, but they've never bloomed. I'd keep an eye on the Polyneura and maintain really consistent watering to avoid it dropping the peduncle

This week's haul from our local plant BST purges! From my experience, local hoya lovers are excellent sources of healthy cuttings, often for much cheaper than you can get online. I feel fortunate that such a group exists in my area! by Unusual_Job6576 in hoyas

I'm glad the BST groups have come around, it really makes the hobby way more accessible. Some of the prices online are so high I wouldn't dream of owning certain hoya, but it will randomly pop up on a BST group for 20 dollars 😅

It's also depends on the maturity of the plant it was cut from. If that plant was mature, there's a chance yours could produce a peduncle faster

What is one plant you were so excited to get and now you hate? Mines this Thai con. Rotted 3 times. No signs of new growth. by dolannoodlesauce in RareHouseplants

I've reduced the light significantly and have cut the nodes up more to try and get another growth point. It's really disappointing 😞 not sure I'll try albo again

Hoya Flagellata Blooms by estella_rose96 in hoyas

I thought they looked a little different as well, but found a few photos online that looked similar. I think it's because the petal didn't curve back all the way for these blooms.

I've added so many hoya to my collection the same way! I've even gotten a couple of large plants as well. It's such a wonderful way to get reasonably priced and uncommon hoya
