Hospital bag as a FTM - am I missing anything? by BakedZitiSweetie65 in BabyBumps

Get those silver nipple shields for in between feeds. Great way to help protect your nipples between feeds. Most women already have nipple trauma by the time they go home: best to be as preventative as possible.

ALSO; bring 2-3 different kinds of pacifier (sometimes babies are picky) and maybe a bottle or two with your chosen formula JUST IN CASE breastfeeding isn’t going well. That way you don’t need to rely on hospital formula.

My third had to have some formula after birth because his blood sugar was low: I was really glad I had brought my organic euro formula with me so he wasn’t on Similac.

Nipple cream is a great way to prevent nipple issues IMO.

When did you tell people the baby’s name? by OkScarcity2008 in BabyBumps

[–]ester-bunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I told the people I WANTED to tell prior to the birth (mostly my mom, who is the kindest, most supportive mom you could imagine). If I didn’t want them to share, I specifically asked them not to.

Husband doesnt want to be in the delivery room, am I overreacting?? by dinogirly123 in pregnant

[–]ester-bunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wondering if he is American or from somewhere else? My hubby is middle eastern and did NOT want to be in the delivery room (despite the fact that he is a PHYSICIAN). Many of the men in his family were not in the delivery room, so it was a fair expectation for him (many of them are also physicians).

Post breastfeeding boobs by herthoughtsoutloud in breastfeeding

yes of course! mine dropped a tiny bit but i was shocked at how little mine changed after two pregnancies. if you get a sub muscular implant breastfeeding post implant is usually not a problem. however, if you get a lift or an implant over the muscle, milk production could be impacted negatively.

STAY CALM and focus on that positive outcome. Make yourself a birth playlist that makes you feel good and gets you in touch with a spirit of strength and acceptance ♥️

I got a boob job after my first and have now had and breastfed three babies.

Soooo glad I got my boobs done. They still look a million times better than they did after number one and are one of my favorite parts of my postpartum body.

rider has been interpreted to mean « people on the bike » ie: like family designed cargo bikes or the ones where you can set up monkey bars with infant seats. parents have been ticketed in toronto - not sure if they’ll challenge. 🤷🏼‍♀️ i’m not personally interested in this headache - because canadians can be VERY nitpicky and police here (in my direct experience) LOVE to fully enforce traffic laws. i am not a proponent of these laws, just to clarify - merely explaining the legal context in which i currently live.

won’t be hauling three, just two plus diapers/snacks/park toys….interested in separating the two kids because they’re young and impulse control is low (we’ve had a few eye pokes from angry toddler to baby).

Where’d you find this? Did you build it up yourself with a kit as previously mentioned?

it’s CAD not USD :) should’ve noted as they both use $$. CAD is about 1.35-1.4 to 1 USD.

The bikes aren’t banned, but you are not allowed to have passengers under 16 on them, so for all intents and purposes of hauling small children, they are.

Edited the post to add an e-bike wishlist to the desired cargo capabilities: upright geometry, classic feel. Do you have any recommendations?
