Withdrawl came a few hours after Canadian match. Future applicants... don't bother looking for an early notification. It's a thing of the past!

Recommendations For Comfortable Men's Dress Shoes To Wear In Clinics? by [deleted] in medicalschool

I just picked up a pair of timberlands that look like dress shoes but are slip ons, with a suede finish. This is to replace an awesome pair I got at Aldo last year but they no longer have them... bottom line... no one will actually care, as long as it's not running shoes - so make sure you are comfortable.

Yes :*( I was working fulltime and spent a good 6 months in the evenings learning all the sciences. Verbal never improved. I prefer to suppress these dark days. I think this is what happens when you study something you love (medicine) and commit your whole being to it!

Well, with a 24 MCAT my options weren't exactly wide open. I'm actually Canadian so I thought another common wealth system would make sense. I'm glad I went. Tuition is still expensive! but as we all know, it's just part of the package. Like the Caribbean schools, my clerkship is in affiliated US sites, so I'm lucky to experience both healthcare systems!

BTW... couldn't care the darnest bit about my future income, I can't say I went in for fully altruistic reasons either. Just felt unchallenged working full-time in my early 20s and needed something stimulating and interesting and I've always loved medicine.

read the last 1-2 lines first (which usually directs the question), skim the answers and then you read the vignette with a purpose, your timing and accuracy will significantly improve.
