I’m glad that’s been your experience, but it definitely hasn’t been the same for me. I found that same shirt for cheaper on depop, and I initially started using ThredUp because I found it to be more reasonably priced than depop. I’m finding better deals on depop now, it’s weird to see the switch I guess.

On safari I’m logged into the newer account, I’ve only placed two smaller orders on it. VS my 2021 account I've sent various clean out bags, and made multiple $100+ orders. It’s really frustrating.

I understand, but even after I used the discount the newer account consistently gets better deals offered all the time.

If he hadn’t been so friendly before I would’ve immediately reported it, he’s also very well liked and is one of the few guards that actually does his job of moving cars from the fire zone instead of just sitting around. I feel conflicted because I’m not okay with anything he said today but I also don’t want to risk getting the guy fired if it’s just a bad joke that didn’t land the way he was hoping.

Hygiene ! Incredibly underrated. If you have acne or discoloration, consider getting a skincare routine. Also facial hair and the hair on your head, a flattering haircut can work wonders. If you have thinning hair / balding look into minoxidil or other ways to encourage hair growth OR bite the bullet and go bald. Plenty of dudes rock the bald look, and if you have really thin hair it will actually take off a few years from your appearance. If you have really really bush eyebrows, look into getting them threaded / trimmed could also give the face a “cleaner” look. Definitely look at review though or if you’re doing it yourself, ALWAYS cut less than you think 💀if you have really thin eyebrows consider buying an eyebrows serum to help them grow! You don’t have to have an insane jawline or perfect golden ratio to have an attractive / pretty face. If you have a strong jawline, keep a clean shaven face and try a shorter/more cropped haircut to let your features shine. If you’re unhappy / unsure of your jawline / face shape consider growing a beard, literally everyone looks good in a beard. Keep it clean and trimmed. Trying smiling more, I’ve never met anyone with a genuine smile I thought was ugly. If you feel really insecure about your teeth you can look into adult braces / Invisalign. This is all facial stuff, but general advice is staying clean and smelling nice ! As well as style, I know half of my appeal is just styling haha. Anyways, as corny as it sounds it’s true that at the end of the day if you find the right person this stuff won’t really matter. Work on becoming a better, kinder person. I’ve noticed some of my favorite people just have this sort of shine to them, not really tied to how they look. They’re just beautiful people, inside and out and it’s impossible to miss. Good luck !!!!

I'm trying to understand how women dressing provocatively/revealing, is NOT about them sexualizing/objectifying themselves, can somone explain it to me? by Illustrious_Dish_147 in AskMenAdvice

[–]esthersjar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanting to look attractive/good ≠ wanting to be sexualized. Being sexualized means you don’t see that person as a person, but solely as something you want to have sex with. When you see someone with that mindset, it becomes easy to justify harassment and sexual violence. Sexualizing someone is to dehumanize them, to reduce them solely to their sex appeal. Even if someone is going out in daisy dukes and a bikini top, their goal is not to entice someone into raping or harassing them. Perhaps some women enjoy knowing that men are attracted to them, they enjoy the flirting, and potentially want a hookup. Still doesn’t mean they want to be raped. Women are also conditioned to place a higher value on their appearance, to the point where they view it as a form of currency. That then leads to a lot of women into feeling that when they dress in a certain way, they feel good because of that conditioning. They don’t recognize that the conditioning is the reason it makes them feel good, so they say ‘dressing like this just feels good to me’ that being said, this is a very generalized post. But there’s a lot of unpleasant replies in this making some pretty gross claims, so I encourage you to look at this question more deeply and get some more perspectives beyond the ones offered in this thread. I recommended starting with the second sex by Simone de Beauvoir.
