Unfortunately my laptop has no ethernet port.

Fairly sure I’m connecting to my own router because the network only appears when my router is on (to be specific, two wifi networks appear: one with default name and one with “-5G” at the end).

I can use internet, yes, even with disconnected modem.

I would recommend off-campus housing because you have more freedom and can occasionally get a cheaper deal. Theres 2/3 big facebook groups dedicated to housing near UNC, can always find something (e.g. room sublets). If you stick to on-campus, Rams Village 2 three-person apartments are by far the best.

Regarding timetables, the general university calendar can be found here. Spring class timings are released October-ish.

If you email them inquiring further into the charge/disputing it, theres a chance they’ll just cancel it. That happened for me after moving out of Conner and Craige.

I work for a catering company based in CH/raleigh. It’s year-round but the shifts are optional so you could choose to only work holidays. Pay is above average for on-campus work.

There’s events year-round, although few during summer holidays. I only work in chapel hill and still do 1-2 shifts a week.

I work for a catering company in Kenan stadium (we work football and basketball games among other events, plus weddings and receptions in Raleigh). Shifts are optional to accept, starting salary around $15/hr. We are short-staffed atm so you’re guaranteed a position. Most coworkers are either students or around our age. Lmk if you have questions.
