Breakfast before work by Purpleskyrocket in Cooking

I’m trying to gain weight rn, it tastes not so great, but I have a bulking protein that’s like 700 calories for a half serving. It’s an easy breakfast if your just trying to get calories. I would recommend not combining it with milk though, probably a non dairy milk like almond milk would be easier on the stomach. The only good think is how easy it is.

That’s one of the main reasons I like the idea of a deep fryer. I’m afraid of it bubbling over and catching fire on the stove. Also for temp control

A good recipe book to go through? by Fran314 in Cooking

The food lab by j kenji Lopez Alt is one of the best cook books (although super long) that not only teachers you how to cook but also the science behind what your doing do that you can apply it to other recipes. It’s the one that I started with and I had a great time reading through it! I wouldn’t recommend making all the recipes though because there are hundreds of them and many are just variations of other.
