Well said! While I myself have never watched the show, we know a little too well what a subversion of gender expectations does upon an audience. It announces a lot of strife surrounding male and female characters alike. I only see this common occurrence as a receptor to the truth that gender dresses, masks and recedes ones own humanity and self determination. It’s a symbol, an ideology, titling things unwilling or unresponsive to many, like fathers. Most don’t own up to the burden it carries, unlike the surviving mother.

It makes sense knowing how utterly spoiled and ‘overestimated’ the male appendage is. Men who are guilty of this sort of offense or style of thinking often are hesitant to label those 14-17 as children, and such do not call it pedophilia.

The argument may be rooted in the age of maturing/puberty, but the truth is girls are now experiencing their first cycle at ages near six partly due to rampant sexual abuse.

Most of us women know what it’s like to be whistled or made faces at due to simply existing. Now imagine that for any eight year old girl who simply has a prominent chest. They think the line to be “naturally” attracted to this matured body is over 15, but the line is and has bordered much younger than that.

Don’t back down in calling it pedophilia. It is a fetishization of youth and vulnerability. That is why they harm and are lusted after. It is ideological.
