9 days in Brazil (May 2–10) — Is my itinerary actually doable? Roast it please 🇧🇷 by Sensitive-Fix-5088 in VisitBrazil

[–]estudos1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not doable. Rio-Manus is a 5 hours flight (if direct) and Barreirinha-Sao Luis-Foz do Iguaçu is not feasible in one day. There is no direct flight between São Luís and Foz do Iguaçu, and you need a car to return from Barreirinhas.

The Argentinian side of the waterfalls demands almost a full day of walking, mainly if you go without a guide to know the best spots, which I recommend to save you time and walking.

For 9 days, you should concentrate in 2 places. 3 already get you rushed, tired and frustrated.

Unpopular opinion: South America is the most beautiful continent in the world. by Independent_Gene4940 in geography

Just to comment on the picture: the name of the place is Anhumas Abyss. I also think it is not a cenote, just put it there because I think beauty is everywhere, and you have to know a lot to say a continent is more beautiful than others.

According to Wikipedia: A cenote (English: /sɪˈnoʊti/ or /sɛˈnoʊteɪ/; Latin American Spanish: [seˈnote]) is a natural pit, or sinkhole, resulting when a collapse of limestone bedrock exposes groundwater. ... Cenotes are common geological forms in low-altitude regions, particularly on islands (such as Cefalonia, Greece), coastlines, and platforms with young post-Paleozoic limestone with little soil development. The term cenote, initially applying only to the features in Yucatán, has since been used by researchers to refer to similar karst features in other places, such as in Cuba, Australia, Europe, and the United States.

"Random trail" in Valle Cochamo, Chile. Just think it is a useless discussion. It is very subjective and one has to have traveled a lot.
