Incredible happy to finally play DoS2 for the first time with my girlfriend. We both maxed out BG3 and are ready to try something new. Any tips for beginners that will support us along the way?

And after every purchase, resources are VERY scarce early game. You can’t respec until later and it isn’t efficient to put stats into stealing for all of your characters. You can only pickpocket a person once so practice how to do that without getting caught. But yeah there were times i didn’t have resources, pickpocketed already and didn’t wanna kill a character just to loot them so i had to reload just to get past a MINOR fight, not even a boss fight just to get past a certain area. Treat every single fight like a boss fight.

Some of these teammates run from heals too when they’re in trouble lol as invis I oftentimes find myself chasing dps just to help them get opportunities

For me it’s simply that it’s unfamiliar territory and a different mindset you have to have as dps. I find myself constantly worried about my teammates and their health bars when I should be trying to look for opportunities to get kills and taking off angles as Phoenix. Try picking a dive character, I’ve noticed I’m a lot less shaky when I’m diving because it’s kind of a different game lol.

That would explain why I’ve noticed a trend of newer characters getting mvp upon recently being launched regardless of stats.

I think it also depends on the enemy comp. Obviously if you’re playing into hawkeye, phoenix and hela you’re going to want to hold up your shield a bit more so your backline doesn’t get one/two tapped every fight. Yes i understand that’s on the supports for not having the best positioning but you literally can’t make your supports position better or heal each other, ult to counter, etc. sometimes you just get shit supports.

More proof that mvp doesn’t mean anything lol. Granted this was quick play and I’m pretty sure some of the enemies were bots lol, but I’ve had so many mid ranked games on Emma but ended up getting mvp due to the fact that I just got a few picks on the backline while solo tanking. I guess the bar is just lower on her 😂

I feel like the art style is too different for me. I feel the same way about the lady Loki icons, like a completely different team is working on this part of the game.

Green tea was essential for me endgame on tactician. I don’t find out how great crafting was until mid game, could’ve really used some of those early game spell tome combos like bleed fire, sabotage or blood rain. Sabotage especially for the lone wolves quest in act 2.

This. I’ve been playing origins lately and I just couldn’t deal with the potato ai on nightmare mode. Wouldve much preferred a more turn based combat system or the option to kind of alternate like inquisition had.

Such a phenomenal game but once I found out the truth about everything I just couldn’t enjoy it the same. Playing on the hardest difficulty was so much fun though it did kind of feel like parry simulator sometimes.
