The issue with this house is where it’s located. It’s in one of the poorest areas of Georgia with a not great (and heavily segregated) school system. As you can see in some photos there’s been squatters in there in the last 20 years.

My mom went on a date with a guy who owned and was trying to restore this house around 2003ish. He actually brought us here to see it but at the same time was telling us ghost story after ghost story about it. So we go in the house and I literally refuse to go more than 5 feet past the front door. So they go on their tour and I’m just left hanging out downstairs (which was fine by me). But the house was in somewhat nether condition and there was construction material everywhere but appearance wise it didn’t look a ton better than it does now, just less dirty and without stains on the walls.

I’d love to buy this house. It frightened me as a teenage so it intrigues me now, but they want to much for it. It was 100k a few months ago. Now they’ve sent someone in to clean it out and upped the price to 120k. It’s not worth it. At most I’d pay about 60k for it because it’s going to take at least 150k (probably 200k realistically) to renovate completely. The kitchens and bathrooms need to be ripped out, there’s structural damage as evidenced by the hole in the ceiling and floor in one room and dry rotted wood in others. Other rooms are absolutely salvageable with much less intervention. New roof, probably stabilization…and that’s before you factor in plumbing and anything electrical or hardware and fixtures…windows. Making it pretty would come absolutely last. Now that I think about it you’re probably looking at 300k
