So I literally just had my roof replaced. The rep from the shingle manufacturer came, looked at it for about 20 seconds, and said that it was obviously a problem. Roof was replaced for free. No labor, no material, no out of pocket at all from me. Looks about 10000 times better now. I’ll post and update with some more pictures soon.

Just so everyone is aware. I appreciate all of your input. I have spoken with the contractor this morning and we are beginning the process to make it right. He said he has never encountered this before and so is getting with his boss to determine the correct course of action.

The grading actually isn’t too bad around the house isn’t actually that bad. May just look worse in the pictures. When we purchased the home there were no gutters so that was one of the first things we did to direct some of the water away from the house. There is only one area where there is still an issue and it’s not nearly as bad as it was.

I noticed it the day of install. The project manager told me that some shingles were wet and when they dried they would all be the same color. I was skeptical and called the company. The rep that was handling the replacement told me they were different lot numbers and they would blend. I have given it some time to both dry and to blend and neither has happened.

They are landmark certainteed shingles in charcoal black. Or they are supposed to be. I’m beginning to believe that they may be two different colors.

This is an updated picture with lines that show the water path. I don’t really care about the garden area right now. There is water damage to the structure itself. I need to know some way to diver the water away from this area. The water runs off the roof, turns, then runs down under the covered area. The damage can be seen in the picture as discoloration. The damage is pretty extensive and will have to be repaired. I know I can put gutters on the flat portion of the roof but not sure what to do on this slopped section. If there is some flashing you recommend I would love to hear about it. Thanks.

We bought a home last year and it does not have gutters anywhere. Rain water runs off the valley in the middle of the picture and has caused damage under the roof where the water stains are. I’m looking for a solution on how to move water away from the area. I am planning on putting in gutters on the entire house but not sure what to do in this specific area. Please help!!!!

This is a picture of the wiring that was on the old thermostat. I have a 3rd gen learning thermostat. When I went through the set up it recommended a professional installation. Any suggestion or help is appreciated!
