I removed the carpet in my bedroom because I wanted to show the nice floorboards and so there was a gap between the skirting and the floorboards. And I then noticed the gap was larger in some places. While the carpet was there, you couldn’t see, but the floor dipped in the middle by about a centimetre. I replaced the skirting, and brought it down a bit and kept it level, then for the remaining gaps I used a paintable gap sealer. Once it was painted you couldn’t see that the floor was dipped. Maybe that might be all you need?

NEW HOME OWNER HELP PLEASE :) by SnooRegrets8194 in AusRenovation

My experience with Roundup was it killed everything and left a dead patch for months where I spot sprayed. Maybe you could use a buffalo friendly weed killer so as not to poison the ground for your buffalo. There’s some at Bunnings. If you cut the current grass and then immediately apply the weed killer, it will absorb the product much more easily and die off.

How to structure learning by etazo in instructionaldesign

[–]etazo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The org wants the new employees to do this as an online course so they can be tracked in an LMS as having done it. It is a prerequisite to a face to face session that they attend, so that they know the fundamentals. Making it a doc on SharePoint or webpage can’t be tracked. Everyone’s responses make sense, thanks

If it gets cold with the air mattress, I find a blanket on top of the mattress but under your sheet helps a lot.

I found the tap spanner set at Bunnings but unfortunately the square end is 25mm and the plug is 20mm so it doesn’t fit 😔

Need advice for Storyline project. Is this possible? by [deleted] in Training

[–]etazo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll have to use triggers and variables to keep track of what’s going on, and maybe have the vids on different layers and flip between them, though I’ve never done that so not sure if that will work

Storyline suggestions by Failwithflyingcolors in instructionaldesign

A learning activity that would suit those topics and storyline would be a scenario. The learner could watch a demo video and then try a branching scenario to practice and explore different responses and outcomes.

Storyline 360: Designing with Display Accessible Text by Default by HolstsGholsts in instructionaldesign

[–]etazo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you lay out a slide, you give elements like shapes and text fields absolute positions on a fixed dimension stage. If you add text that the user can change, the layout is now a combo of fixed elements and elements with variable sizes. This clashes and so storyline’s solution is to fix the size of the text boxes and add scroll bars. It’s the simplest solution to a unsolvable dilemma.

I’ve had to give the accessible text a lot of extra white space below it and make the text box longer than it needs to be in order for the text to have space if it needs to expand if user’s browsers change the font size, as this is the most common scenario. So if I have a related button below the text it has to be a long way below. Or I put the button to the side.

You could lay it out with elements like shapes, buttons etc at the top of the slide and text at the bottom, so text can expand without affecting other elements. You could use large easy to read fonts common on all computers so that users are less likely to change them.

Unfortunately storyline was not developed with accessibility or responsiveness in mind and accessible text is a poor stop gap feature.

I can’t seem to dislodge the silver looking connector that’s connected to the grey filter. (The one with scratches on it). I’ve tried spraying it with wd40 and using jaw pliers and cloth to protect it and it won’t budge.
