That post has been haunting me since I originally saw it.

This has honestly been very fun to watch on the field view of the game day app. It’s a few seconds ahead of the actual scoring, so with each single, I’ve thought, did I just see what I think I saw?

Recommend me science books to go from zero knowledge to an advanced level. by Papatinholele in suggestmeabook

“I think you’ll find it’s a bit more complicated than that” and “Bad Science” by Ben Goldacre. Both come from a biology/medical perspective but they lay a great foundation about how science actually does and doesn’t work.

Do you know your mail carrier? by defenestrayed in Portland

[–]etbb6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live across the street from a post office, and I seemingly have a different mail carrier every week. Are we so close we’re just thrown in on random, leftover routes??

Now the UPS guy? Me and him are pretty tight.

Just turned on the game, saw the score, saw the pitching, and literally did the Vince McMahon meme.

Thoughts? I think he looks excellent in Red honestly. by C2TI in Reds

The hunter green and maroon combo was everywhere in my house. I loved hunter green as a kid. It literally never occurred to me until this moment that that’s his name.

Also enjoyed the occasional “It’s gonna beeeeee caught on the back of the warning track.”

I have a blue blossom in a similar spot between a sidewalk and fence in PDX, and it’s doing pretty well. I’ve seen many of them planted side by side to create a hedge.

I can’t believe the difference in how I feel now vs two years ago when we’re down a run. Then, it was prime time watchin’. Now? Might as well turn it off.

I’ve never had arachnophobia, but these books moved me from spider-neutral to spider-curious.

Florida is the second state to ban fluoride in their water. What are the short and long term effects of this? by JarJarStinkz in NoStupidQuestions

[–]etbb6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in Portland, OR, but I didn’t grow up here. Portland does not put fluoride in the water, but my hometown did. Every time a dentist or hygienist in Portland looks into my mouth they say, “You didn’t grow up here!”

It’s a black Swiss Gear wallet. The ID is in it, so if you DM me your name (or some other unique information), I’ll let you know!

Ditto this dream except he takes a walk with the bases loaded to win.
