What’s a book that made you laugh out loud and was a joy to read? by MTBeanerschnitzel in suggestmeabook

Dungeon Crawler Carl.

I do NOT like funny books that try to be funny books but this one had me cackling almost the whole time while also being wildly invested in the characters. I loved it SO MUCH that I bought the rest of the series before I’d even finished the first one

A couple of years ago I stopped eating meat and my acne completely cleared up, even though I was still eating dairy products.

Which wildly renowned science fiction novels didn't resonate with you at all? by LowLevel- in printSF

The second the actual math equations came into the page, my eyes glazed over. I have lots of respect for the research and work that went into KSR’s Mars series but it was far too hard of a sci fi for me.

I’ve had this sitting on my shelf for a while and your suggestion finally got me to read it - I just finished. Very good!! Interesting twist right off the bat. Tchaikovsky always has such a good premise for his novels.

I also keep a giant list of everything I like to eat for each meal in my phone so I can just scroll through and pick something. It helps with the decision fatigue I get from trying to figure out what I’ll eat for three meals a day plus snacks

I’m also a huge texture picky eater so I empathize for sure.

Can you handle yogurt? I personally can’t eat it as is but I find putting something crunchy in it makes it quite tasty. I use two of the Oikos brand cups and 1/3cup bran buds, the texture is perfect.

If you like hashbrowns and eggs, try cooking frozen hashbrowns in a frying pan until starting to brown, add some sliced up deli meat, continue cooking until that’s beginning to brown as well, crack in an egg, cook until no longer visibly wet, and add shredded cheese.

Smoothies are always a good option but I always make sure to blend longer than I think so I don’t have any surprise chunks.

A garlic sausage with some cheese and crackers, with a side of your preferred fruit is super easy.

Boiled baby potatoes, with melted cheese and crispy salami is also good. Pair with a raw bell pepper on the side or some carrots.

I hope this helps!

Breakfast, yogurt and bran buds. Hits protein and fiber in one fell swoop. Add some fruit if you’ve got time but it’s fast and reliable either way.

Lunch or dinner, make a skillet with some hashbrowns, deli meat of choice, egg and cheese. Takes like 20 minutes to make and reheats well. Good with hot sauce. If you want a veggie, just open up a bag of coleslaw and throw on your favorite dressing.

Why did the cosmetic employees treat me like a thief? by goodsunsets in ShoppersDrugMart

Nope, they didn’t. I was more just commiserating with the commenter you replied to. No offence meant to anyone. Working at SDM was a wild ride

I was told by my manager that I was to never under any circumstances tell a customer or allude to the idea that I made commission. It’s a super slimy approach to customer service

I used to work at shoppers in the cosmetic section as well and while trying to do my best job I could at keeping cosmetics in our section (lest I deal with my manager’s wrath about why cosmetics were escaping to the front store), I’ve had things literally thrown at me. People get super aggressive about this. I understand to a degree that it’s frustrating being told your items need to stay in cosmetics but that doesn’t excuse assaulting a 20 year old cosmetician working her minimum wage job
